Zsa Zsa Gabor turned 95 years old this week and her husband, phoney "Prince" Frederic Von Asshole, has released pictures from her birthday celebration which was attended by the likes of Larry King. CBSNews.com's Ken Lombardi reports.

Los Angeles (CNN) -- Francesca Hilton, Zsa Zsa Gabor's daughter, is asking a judge to appoint a conservator to oversee the 95-year-old actress's finances and medical care.

The Hungarian-born actress was once one of Hollywood's most glamorous women, but a broken hip and leg amputation in the past two years have left her confined to a bed.

"What Ms. Hilton is seeking here is for the court to make sure that Zsa Zsa's best interests are not being sacrificed for the selfish interests of anyone involved in Zsa Zsa's life," her lawyer, Kenneth Kossoff, said.

A conservatorship petition that Hilton's lawyer said he will file in a Los Angeles court Tuesday contends that Gabor's ninth husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, is keeping her "increasingly isolated" and "heavily sedated."

The filing questions von Anhalt's handling of Gabor's finances, saying he recently borrowed against on Gabor's $10 million Bel Air mansion, but the house is in foreclosure after several missed mortgage payments.

"In spite of her conflicts with von Anhalt, Francesca has been hoping he had Zsa Zsa's interests at heart," Kossoff said. "However, having just recently learned that he took out a $700,000 loan, and that there was a notice of default recorded against the property in late February 2012 because he apparently has not been paying Zsa Zsa's mortgage payment, it became clear to Francesca that if she did not seek to protect her mother, no one else would."

Los Angeles (CNN) -- Zsa Zsa Gabor's daughter got her wish when a Los Angeles judge appointed a conservator to oversee the 95-year-old actress's finances and medical care Wednesday.

But the man named temporary conservator is Gabor's ninth husband, Prince Frederic von Asswipe, who has feuded with his stepdaughter Francesca Hilton for years.

Hilton contended when she filed for the conservatorship in March that von Anhalt kept her ailing mother "increasingly isolated" and "heavily sedated," and she questions his handling of Gabor's finances.

Hilton is satisfied, though, because the court order requires her stepfather to provide monthly financial reports and medical records, Hilton lawyer Kenneth Kossoff said.

The Hungarian-born actress was once one of Hollywood's most glamorous women, but a broken hip and leg amputation in the past two years have left her confined to a bed.

Gabor's only child, the result of her marriage to Conrad Hilton, will also get weekly visits with her mother without von present, the judge said.

The arrangement is an improvement for Hilton because it will "make sure Zsa Zsa's money is used for Zsa Zsa's benefit and not for anybody's birthday party, billboards or mayoral campaign," Kossoff said.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Reva Goetz, who also oversees singer Britney Spears' conservatorship, ordered an end to any powers of attorney von asshole might claim that would have allowed him to sell Gabor's Bel Air mansion or other estate assets.

As conservator, he must send canceled checks and other financial records to Hilton's lawyer each month. Von can make spending decisions with some of the money, but he must get court approval to access one bank account, Kossoff said.

Hilton and von Assmunch have battled publicly for several years over Gabor's finances and her access to her mother.

"He's basically taken my mother away from me," Hilton told CNN in an interview a year ago.

Von Anhalt, in an interview with CNN, said he limits his stepdaughter's access because she brings negativity into the room.

"I want smiling people in here. Happy, smiling people," he said.

He defended his care of Gabor, saying, "I'm going to make sure she has a good life, as long as I live, I will take care of her."

Von Anhalt, 68, maintains a high media profile, including a run for governor of California in 2010 that he halted after his wife's hip injury. He is currently an announced candidate for mayor of Los Angeles.

He made news several years ago when he claimed to be the father of Anna Nicole Smith's daughter after the actress's death. Paternity tests later disproved that claim.

Last year, von Anhalt announced that he wanted Gabor to become a mother again using an egg donor, artificial insemination and a surrogate mother.

"That's just weird," Hilton said at the time.

"I'm a retired guy," von Anhalt said then. "I can take care of it."

The unusual motherhood plan was never hatched.

Von Anhalt is 27 years younger than Gabor, whom he married more than 25 years ago.

The conservatorship agreement, reached through mediation, expires in January when the judge will revisit the case, the lawyer said.

It's good news that the Asshole now at least has to legally provide medical and financial statements and that Zsa Zsa's daughter can visit her mother without him being present.

It would be better if he wasn't her conservator at all, but she married the Asshole (why on earth?).

That poor woman. Does anyone know anything about her mental state? Is she completely gaga or has she still got her wits about her? I'm suspecting she's not lucid as she's married this ying yang and can't see what's really going on here. I'm glad to see her daughter is allowed to see her and the fact that he would "limit" her visits all but screams that he's scared she's going to do something to keep him from getting any money, as she should. Her mother was a smart lady, I doubt she raised a fool.

I always root for the old broad so I was a tiny bit hesitant to open this thread after seeing it bumped. I'd like to see her outlive her money hungry prince.

I hope so too.

There's a community assistance facility in Venice which helps low-income families, alcohol and drug addicts, etc... They do a lot of good for a lot of people. It's called the Vera Davis Center.

It's not funny to assault LEOs, but I gotta admit Zsa Zsa's full fledged dramatic diva routine cracked me up. Over-the-top feisty old bird.

Anyway, Zsa Zsa was sentenced to community service at Vera's center for the assault. I had a friend who got on her feet there about 15 years ago and always volunteers on the holidays. I don't know if Zsa Zsa and her husband still donate to the center, but they supplied a ton of turkeys to help the needy on Thanksgiving a few years back -- kinda cool.

But, I gotta say, Zsa Zsa could have taught even you a thing or two about righteous dramatic ranting. She'd have trolled you into next Sunday.

When she got pulled over for driving poorly, she was caught with an open container of alcohol in the car and a suspended license with a fake birthdate that made her much younger than her 66 years. When the officer put his hands on her, she bitch slapped him.

Anyway, she's forgiven. She did the crime, did the time, and she hasn't re-offended. She went to jail for 3 days, performed community service, paid a fine... BUT not before pissing off the LGBT organizations here. During her trial, she told reporters that she was afraid to go to jail because jails are filled with lesbians.

She later apologized, saying: "I got letters from the lesbian and gay association. They are going to boycott me because I say there are lesbians in jail. Imagine a women's jail, there must be lesbians. . . . Maybe I should become a lesbian. What do I know? I like men.".
