Police: Man Bit, Punched 2-Year-Old, Killing Him
Bruises Covered 80% Of Daniel Resendiz’s Body

November 1, 2010

PHOENIX -- The Superior Court of Arizona released the probable cause statements Monday on the arrests of Walter Munoz and Bianca Arce in the death of Arce’s 2-year-old son, Daniel Resendiz.

In court documents, Munoz admitted to fatally beating Daniel and instead of calling for help, placing the boy’s body in a bed. Daniel’s 5-year-old sister witnessed the beating, police said.

When Arce found Daniel unresponsive, she ran across the street from her home near 81st Avenue and Indian School Road and called 911.
Daniel was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Homicide detectives were called based on observations by hospital staff and statements by the mother.

Below are details released in the probable cause statements:

• On the night of Daniel’s death, Munoz admitted that, while drunk, he tried to jump over Daniel but fell on him, possibly breaking the boy’s ribs.

• Munoz then bit Daniel in the face out of anger.

• Daniel bit Munoz in the finger most likely because of the pain Munoz was inflicting on Daniel.

• Munoz punched Daniel “really (expletive) hard.”

• Daniel’s 5-year-old sister told police that Munoz held Daniel up against the wall by his throat.

• After the beating, Munoz placed Daniel back in his bed since Arce was at a store nearby.

• When Arce returned, Munoz said he stepped back into Daniel’s room and pointed out to her that something was wrong with him.

• Arce grabbed Daniel and ran across the street to call 911.

• Daniel suffered severe bruising over 80% of his body.

Munoz is charged with first-degree murder and child abuse. His bond is set at $750,000. If he makes bond, he’s not allowed to have contact with anyone under the age of 18.

Arce was booked on child abuse charges for intentionally and knowingly placing her three children in a situation where they suffered physical injury. Police said Arce sought help at a domestic violence shelter and had filed a child abuse report on Munoz on Aug. 11.

Arce's two other children are now in the custody of child protective services.

Parents need to teach their daughters how to stand alone, teach them they don't need a man around in order to have a successful life. Parents need to be better role models. Not all parents of course, just the ones who are raising women like the one we are reading about in this thread.

another one. this was a high school girl who already had a 3-year-old.

LA CA

A young father deliberately slammed his pickup truck into the bedroom of his newborn daughter and her teenage mother, killing both as they slept.

The deadly crash came after Eduardo Villarreal, 21, got into an argument with the mother on Sunday over custody of their 10-day-old baby at a family gathering, police said.

Villarreal grabbed the infant and ran down a street before another family member caught up to him and persuaded Villarreal to give the baby back.

He said he was going to harm himself and the girl, then 'he took off to get his mind right,' police Detective Joe Rios said.

Villarreal returned moments later and aimed his Cadillac Escalade at the house, hopped a curb and ploughed into the bedroom, police said.

'He intentionally drove the vehicle into the house,' Deputy Chief Kirk Albanese said.

Eduardo Bonilla, the uncle of the young mother, identified her as Trudy Bonilla and the baby as Naomi.

The uncle claimed to have spoken with several family members who had been home at the time and heard the argument involving Villarreal.

'He was saying he was going to kill the daughter and the mom,' Eduardo Bonilla said while standing in a yard near the crash site. 'They had argued before, but nothing like that.'

After the crash, Villarreal told investigators he had meant to commit suicide but not hurt anyone else, Rios said. Police expected to book Villareal on murder charges later Monday.

Trudy Bonilla's other child, a three-year-old who is unrelated to the driver, was in the room during the crash but was uninjured, the uncle said.

I don't understand that kind of anger, I can't relate to it at all.

I could not agree with you more! A woman does not NEED a man. A woman needs food, shelter and water. Women like this shame me and the women that raise them - even moreso.
