Mid life crisis (or phenomenon)
#1
Are they real? Have you had one or know someone who has? Is it just me or do men get them worse then women?

My husband took up karate about 5 years ago. I'm grateful. I'm pretty sure he'll be able to protect my dentures from thieves when we get to the old folks home.

Anybody?

I think they are real, are you busy later?

People only really freak out about middle age when they stopped developing mentally/emotionally at a young age. It freaks them out to see middle age in the mirror when they are still as stupid as they always were.

I know some very attractive people over 40, inside and out. They are comfortable in their own skin and like the wisdom a little age brings. I had some crazy fun times when I was younger, and occasionally now, but I really enjoy life as much now as I ever did ~ maybe more. While there aren't as many highs, there also aren't as many lows. Age mellows you.

Yes I know both men & women that have had, & continue to have MLC.
I know a guy that bought a motorcycle when he turned 50. (not me) All his friends said he was foolish, he said *&^)%%$#. He had his first accident before he turned 51, and was hospitalized for months. He still walks with a limp today. He hasn't learned his lesson, he said he's going "hang gliding" when (if) he truns 60)
I know a few women (my wife not one of them) that don't wear "age appropriate" clothes", like short shorts, spike high heel platform boots, mini skirts, and even go braless in tank tops. Not a pretty sight.

I'm not aware of anyone that I know experiencing a mid life crisis & most of the people in my social circle are older than I am. I think about getting older sometimes but only in the fact that my time on earth becomes limited with each passing day. I'm afraid of dying but I'm not afraid of getting older, if that makes any sense.
