Doctor Death (GRAPHIC PIX)
#21
Why hasn't this trial garnered more attention? The allegations are just horrific.

"A Delaware woman who worked for Kermit Gosnell testified Tuesday that she was called back to a room at his abortion clinic in Philadelphia where the bodies of aborted babies were kept on a shelf to hear one screaming amid the bodies of aborted babies kept on a shelf…

“I can’t describe it. It sounded like a little alien,” West said, telling the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas judge and jury that the body of the child was about 18 to 24 inches long and was one of the largest babies she had seen delivered during abortion procedures at the Women’s Medical Society clinic…"

Oh hell. I even participated in this thread and forgot about it until the recent news on his charges. 50

I agree that this really hasn't garnered the media attention it deserves. Those pictures break my heart more than any crime scene photos I've seen. I wish death on that doctor

Copied from "another mother" thread:

This doesn't belong here necessarily but it makes me so sick, I don't want to give it its own post.

Dr. Kermit Gosnell, 72, still faces the death penalty if convicted on four remaining counts of first-degree murder involving babies he's accused of killing with scissors after they were born alive.

He cut off the feet of some fetuses to keep them in specimen jars.

The judge also upheld murder charges in a patient's overdose death. Gosnell is charged with third-degree murder in the 2009 death of 41-year-old Karnamaya Mongar, a recent refugee to the U.S. who died after an abortion at hiss Women's Medical Society.

Gosnell had also been charged with five counts of abuse of a corpse, for removing the feet from aborted fetuses and storing them in specimen jars.

This quack was a danger to anyone who walked through his clinic door.

I don't think he'll get the death penalty and not sure if the judge will even rule that the horrific things he did to the fetuses constituted crimes against a viable "person". It's so political.

If the judge doesn't consider Kermit's cutting of the fetuses to be murder, then I think the judge almost has to find him guilty of abusing corpses. In that case, hopefully the prosecutor can get a few years on each of the five counts and the quack will be behind bars til he dies.

Hopefully, he'll do time either way; I don't think he's walking away scot free. Maybe while Kermit's on his death bed and barely clinging to life in some dank facility, the warden will order that the back of his neck be sliced with scissors and his feet be cut off before he's dumped in a trash bin (just dreaming about a little eye for an eye justice here - this guy's a butcher).

Shit Shit. I didn't mean to see that.

I was scrolling back to refresh my memory, I wanted to say I have some compassion for the women who felt they didn't have any options other than this but I didn't want to inadvertently defend a POS so I was checking to see if anything was mentioned. Shit.

He looks like the doctor that charged $1400 to kill my dog and then try to get another $800 out of me while he was near death. Then when they charged me another $65 to put him out of his misery they pretended like they were upset.

That vet is a freak too. I view that as taking advantage of you particularly when they hit you up for more money. Bastards. I occasionally (in a nice way) call them out on their bs fees. They'll charge $27.00 for a shot of Dex when I can buy an entire bottle for about $35.00. It's ridiculous.

I just heard a Philly reporter talking about today's closing arguments and the prosecutor asked the jury if Jack (meaning the defense attorney) would let his daughter lie on that table, and he pointed to the stained & dirty examining table which has been in the courtroom this entire trial. Smooth move having that in there all this time!

Both sides have rested; jury deliberations begin.

While this case wasn't as intensely covered as some other murder trials by the media, it's of extreme interest to both pro-life and pro-choice organizations.

Neither side supports Kermit, however. Anti-abortion groups are using the horrific descriptions and photos from the case to condemn abortion and to push for more legislation restricting later term abortions, while pro-abortion advocates cite the case as an example of what happens when abortion is restricted and women are driven to hacks like Gossnel.

Snip:
Abortion opponents have leveraged these mixed feelings in recent years to lobby at the state level to restrict the procedure. Nine states have banned most abortions beyond 20 weeks of pregnancy. Last month, two states went further: Arkansas banned abortion after 12 weeks and North Dakota beyond about 6 weeks, when a fetal heartbeat is “detectable.”

Abortion rights groups said both limits would be found unconstitutional in federal court. “No woman carries their child to six, seven, eight months and then one day decides they don’t want to become a parent,” said Ilyse Hogue, the president of Naral Pro-Choice America. “These are terrible, tragic situations where families have to make difficult choices with their doctors. I think most Americans believe that’s where they belong.”

I'm pro-choice & against late term abortions. I'm cool with the "before there is a detectable heartbeat" being a cut off time. It bothers me deeply to think of babies being killed.

The only problem I have with that is many serious abnormalities can't be detected until about the 16th week, I believe. I'd be okay with 10 weeks except in cases where there are significant abnormalities in which case, I think they might have to be allowed up to 17-18 weeks. :( Makes me sad though because they really are a little person at that point.

Are they seriously taking another day to deliberate?

According to testimony, he let breathing babies die in boxes or cut their necks. He put corpses in the freezer.

HE KEPT BABY FEET IN JARS!

What the fuck is wrong with these retarded jurors?

I'm not sure but I believe the defense is arguing they were born dead and besides, they were fetuses, not babies. 78

Whatever helps you sleep.

Also, medically 'fetus' is a term for them when they are in utero. When they pass through the birth canal and are breathing they magically become babies.

That's before their necks are snipped and they are thrown in a box though, so I can see how it's a bit confusing.
