I love my job and 98% of the time I think I'm the luckiest female on the East Coast...until I have what I call a 2% day. Ugh. Is there a job "out there" that you would consider is your dream job?

For me, it would be working in the nursery of a zoo. I like the animals more than I like you.

a little bookshop in a tiny quaint English village. with first editions, histories, Dickens and other English Lit classics.
and i'd serve lovely tea and biscuits to my friends who stopped in the shop to chat.

Ok LC, you and me need to go into business together!! I love love love books. I love the smell of them and the feel of them and love reading more than anything else. I will probably never get an ereader because there is nothing like reading a real book. I would love to own a bookstore. And have a library in my house. In the movie Something's Gotta Give, the house that Diane Keatin has in the Hamptoms is my dream home. There are tons and tons of bookshevles and I would love that.

My gut response would be to say I would love a job where I did not have to interact with people...ever. I think like a caretaker of a old abandoned hotel....just someone to be there and look after the place.

But then I may want to venture out and help LC in her bookshop.

I'd like to design custom homes too. I had a blast designing my kitchen & a couple other things as well and I discovered I'm damn good at it too.

I also would not mind working with animals...preferably cats. I can deal with that. I would also consider honing my writing skills and being a free lance writer.

I would own a succesful spa. I wouldn't actually work with any clients though--I don't want to touch your disgusting cystic acne or toe fungus--but I would employ aestheticians, stylists etc.

My spa would be so succesful it would require little of my time. I would regularly have my slaves, errr, employees, give me facials, manicures, pedicures etc. and I would have access to all the "goop" I could possibly ever want.

I'd be a play-by-play announcer for baseball (maybe just for a year, depending on how much the travel affected my relationship with my kids). Imagine, getting paid to watch and talk about something you love, and traveling to different cities for 6 months.

That's kinda my job now with a couple of 12 y/o's thrown in. I went crazy for awhile when I left corporate life...now I can't imagine going back to it. Fuck anything even remotely resembling punching a clock. Fuck bosses, reports, meetings, "casual Fridays", vacation time and all that shit.

I've worked hard enough now that I wouldn't feel guilty sitting around and not contributing anything else. I like myself enough not to need constant outside entertainment, so that's not an issue. I just don't want there to be kids asking me questions and wanting food and shit. That ruins a good book.
