I'm sorry to hear that.

I saw Him when he played as the back up for Jethro Tull in 1973 in Portland OR.

Jethro Tull...another band I would have liked to have seen "back in the day". Ian Anderson is one helluva musician. Looks like he's still touring..perhaps I'll still get a chance.

I watched Ian in one of those 1000 people inside places and it was great! He is a complete anti-smoker but cannot blame him as his livelyhood is based on lung capacity. He still sounded the same but with shorter hair. A funny guy he actually talked to everyone after the show in that crazy accent and voice that is truly his own. Very articulate guy. Full of expression.
Another I have seen was Ray Davies, he played at the college up the street and did his "storytellers" show. He invented that show and was the first on VH1, after him it just took off on the tele but he was the first. The show was over 2 hrs long and much insight was gathered on the creation and the mindset behind many of the Kinks most famous melodies and lyrics.
Robin Trower has played so many backup tracks that his influence is felt today in many songs and styles that he can really be considered the continued arm of the great Jimi Hendricks. A talent that is sure to amaze for the next 10 yrs.
You did good to watch a legend, It does not happen every day and I bet your life is much better for it.

Oh yeah............Fuck You! 105

He ain't heavy, he's my brother.
