Nightclubs for fatties
#1
I'm dragging another subject over here from Baldi's forum. As some of you might know, there are several people over there that complain constantly how fat people (don't say fat, that word should be banned in every language!) are discriminated against, the latest being how they're going to charge extra for ambulance service if you're morbidly obese and how utterly unfair that is.

Yet this subject is greeted with great joy. Excuse me, isn't this a form of discrimination as well? Yet when I mentioned that, someone basically told me to shut up and not start trouble. ::dunno::

Leave the fat people alone Lumpy. It's the only place they can get together to do body shots in peace.

some clubs specialize in certain clientele, i think it's good that people can go where they feel comfortable. too much emphasis is placed on looking like some anorexic starlet, so many people probably isolate themselves. my sister has battled a weight problem that has prevented her from even traveling to see family! and she's not morbidly obese. i have had to force her out! she dresses beautifully and looks fine.

as for the ambulance fees, i don't see that as discrimination. ambulances are very expensive, and the requirement for extra care and personnel is reason enough to charge a higher rate.the hospital will. and so will the airline if one needs double seating.

i've even seen huge prisoners need special bunks in jail. i guess taxes cover that.

So, let the token fat person here at Mock weigh in (snicker).

I have never been much or the night club scene...at least since I was in my 20's. But when I was in my 30's and 40's and still single, I probably would have gone. If for no other reason than there would be no walking sticks there to think they were all IT, and I probably would have felt more comfortable. My only concern would b people going just to laugh at the fat people having a good time or something. ::banana::

I'm 5'5 and was 215 after I had my son so I have some idea of what it's like to be overweight. I starved myself though and was back to 120 in a few months. I was so disturbed by it that I wouldn't eat anything but broccoli and drank coffee all day.

Okay, apparently my point wasn't sharp enough. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with a nightclub that specializes in any sort of clientele, my point was that these same people that have been whining about how fat people are discriminated against, with that ambulance story as a prime example, are all now jumping up and down saying this ISN'T discrimination.

So basically, if it makes them feel 'bad' for being fat... discrimination.

I'm sorry, but those people are fucking idiots. I can't seem to tolerate forums that humor people when they declare the word 'fat' should be banned from every language because it makes her feel bad.

This shit pisses me off.

People and their fuckin' niceties...Maybe if the fatties hadn't been humored their whole lives they wouldn't be fat now...And yes, I know that does not apply to all overweight people but, enough of them that I felt safe in making that statement.

I would say that a majority of the problems we currently face in this world, simply boil down to a lack of discipline. Parents who do not teach children to be disciplined, even in the arena of good nutrition, are not doing their children any favors.
