Holly Bobo, 20, Tenn. missing. & Karen Swift

if the sheriff had an idea that the family or a family member was involved, I guarantee you that the surveillance would not be done out in the open.

unless of course the sheriff is stupid and/or inexperianced.

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

Lady Cop, I have to ask you...what is your gut feeling about who took Holly?
Spay and neuter your dogs and cats. Ban gas chambers in your local shelters. User made the call. User made a difference! Love3

Has the brother even been asked to take a polygraph?

Early on, the word on the www was that it was beyond the pale to suspect the brother. But isn't that where LE should start?

I admire John Walsh, and even he said a polygraph needs to happen.

i hate to say it, but i have said it all along, something is off. the family is hiding something, the brother told 2 or 3 stories, the "flecks of blood" make no sense, we have not seen the brother come out and speak, plea for Holly or help with search. families should not search, but they can assist at sign-up stations or something of that nature. my first post here i questioned his version of events, and i still do. of course the authorities are telling us nothing, nada, zip, which is their prerogative. they aren't required to tell us anything, but someone has to stop the rampant rumors and speculation.
why haven't the 911 calls been released? and no timeline.
how much blood? whose? that nice clean duct tape left in plain view... her hairs or not? these thousands of searchers out there getting injured and busting their butts deserve some answers, a bare minimum anyway.
a report said the brother took a poly. nobody can/will confirm that. did he or didn't he? and why has NOBODY been ruled out? that's usually first on the radar, rule out family. and boyfriend, and ex-boyfriend. did the dogs hit a scent going into the woods? this whole thing smells bad but i am not about to pin it on anyone w/o knowing a damn thing. hey, it could be the yeti that lives in those woods, i don't know.
and the "family spokesperson" said absolutely nothing. (post#81) that was a load of bollocks too.

i also dislike this business of selling t-shirts so Holly can go on a vacation? or keep the money? or buy something? HUH?? i have never heard of anything like that. how about using the money to pay back businesses for food etc. and for all the OT by agencies?

i hope my suspicions are wrong, and just due to lack of information.

Maybe it's the mama who needs a little "vacation" money.

People handle tragedy differently. I get it. But this rationale of a vacation, buying something or whatever, is way off the chart.

When LE rules out the family, I hope my skepticism diminishes, too.

Hundreds of people gathered at the Decatur County Fairgrounds Easter Sunday morning to pray for Holly Bobo. She has been missing for over a week and investigators believe she was kidnapped.

Volunteers have been working tirelessly to find her. They gathered this morning for a prayer service and a balloon release. Crews are expected to search all day Sunday.

This case is just baffling to me to say the least. When I first read about, I thought for sure that a guy in camo did take her. But the media has just butchered this case so bad that you don't know what to believe. So many different accounts of what the brother saw. Who knows what the hell to believe at this point other than Holly is missing still. They aren't revealing much info except that they found her lunchbox, which basically means nothing. It could have been planted there to throw searchers off or to make it look like she was kipnapped and discarded. This case just smells funny for some reason. I can't put my finger on it. The biggest thing that stinks to me is why can't dogs pick up her scent if she was led into the woods. She had to have traveled some distance in the woods before the guy got her into a vehicle. I would think search dogs would be the biggest help in a case like this where there isn't much to go on.

A summary of the posted tweets can be found at http://www.examiner.com/missing-persons-...e-from-mom.

I noticed in the article a photo of volunteers combing through a field, but there's no caption indicating where they are or when the photo was taken.

If I saw my sister with a man in camo walking to or at the edge of woods at that time of morning and knowing she was supposed to leave for work it wouldn't take my nosey ass two seconds to fling a window open and shout at her or run after her! To my knowledge there has been no vehicle tracks/car/atv found in which to carry her away in, no scent where the bro says he saw them. I dunno! He hasn't come forward or done anything to my satisfacton yet! He may not be guilty but he's doing a good job at making himself look like the bad guy!

For some reason, I just don't have a good feeling about her brother either. Like you stated, there are no tracks for a vehicle that was stashed close by and no scent picked up by dogs that she was ever even in the woods. But I guess whoever planned this could have done a great job about covering his footsteps. Still, my BS meter is going off about something. I hope the family is telling the truth and this case gets some answers for the family. What a terrible thing to happen to a young girl.

This caught my eye - what was her message and why did they then gather - was it over something she gave them?

Reply
my take, from reading all the tweets, was that she was going to go out and thank the searchers.
