Republican Mitt Romney and the Republican National Committee raised more than $170 million in September, the biggest monthly haul of the campaign, but trailing slightly behind the $181 million collected by President Obama and affiliated Democratic committees last month.

I don't really believe in polls but nonetheless here it is. Looks pretty tight to me.

Rasmussen is probably the most accurate one, they have a good track record.

So...what happens if we get a new Prez & nothing changes or things become worse?

Mayor Bloomberg has endorsed Obama, so has Colin Powell.

I better go read the debate thread again and refresh my memory.

It's gonna be tough for the people hardest hit in NY to get out and vote. Is that blue or red that takes the hit?

Soooo, the prez wants people to vote with REVENGE in mind...WTF??

He needs to be fired. 4 more days, not 4 more years.

This is gonna be such a tight one, imo. Today's polls have Obama slightly ahead in the swing states. But the difference between the estimated percentage of electoral votes for each candidate is so slim that it exceeds the estimated margin of error. Romney really has a chance to take it all, imo.

I'm voting Republican on Tuesday, but it took a long time to decide. I don't think the country can afford 4 more years investment in Obama based on his record of economic-related promises vs. accomplishments during his first term (even though I do support some of what he's accomplished on social issues).

If Romney gets elected, I really hope he can improve the joblessness numbers and bring the deficit down quickly. His (and Ryan's) vagueness on the details of their plans over the last few months makes me nervous.

The devil you know or the potential devil you don't know? That's kinda how I feel about my voting choices.

I hear that HotD. I'm not that fond of Romney either. Plugging my nose and voting for him anyway.

I just can't stand the arrogance of the one we have now. I didn't care for Clinton either (sorry Duchess), but I still had respect for him as the president. I have none for this asshole, and even less for his wife.

I think that it's very sad that people even think that way. There is absolutely no good that could come from a post like that. I'm reading about riots after the election. Just so you understand me, I would feel the same about ANY person running for public office. What is to be gained by all this hate? I'm glad that I'm as far along as I am. And, I am not an old fuddy-duddy ! I could prove that if I wanted to. ps: Good choices for new mods !!

I don't like the pic either. I think Obama has been vilified more than any other President and it started when he was running (at least it took awhile for people to hate George W.).

My ballot is still sitting there blank. I hate everybody!!!

Hotd, how are you voting on prop. 30? Having kids in public schools, I feel completely blackmailed over that one. Whether I vote for it or not, if it passes, I'm not giving any more donations to our school. We contribute a lot to the PTA (just bought an iPad for one school) but fuck that. We also pay an obscene amount of taxes. If we're going to pay more there, I'm done donating. Grrr. It all just pisses me off.

I voted today. For the first time since I was 18 that it does not feel good. Likes neither candidate.

Just got back from voting.

Opted for Romney/Ryan.

However, I did vote for our incumbent Democratic senator, Amy Klobuchar. I used to talk with her dad in the sauna at my old club about 15 years ago (he's a retired sportswriter for one of our local papers). She seems like a decent person, and certainly does what's best for our state and not necessarily special interests.

Off to vote in just a bit. Wish I was looking forward to it.

p.s. username: "no" on 30, for me.
