OMG this is pitiful...on many levels.

click on link to Art Harris' story, then scroll down for PDF copies of letters & poem misty supposedly wrote. she didn't write them. she's functionally illiterate. oh, and now she claims Haleigh is alive. this is jailhouse BS.

i am waiting for this, it better not be continued!

misty croslin, who is already serving 25 years in prison on a charge of trafficking oxycodone in St. Johns County, is scheduled to be sentenced on seven drug trafficking charges in Putnam County today 1/10/11 at 1:30 p.m. She could face up 30 years in prison for each count.

edit to update:

like no sentence at all.

PALATKA, Fla. -- Misty Croslin, the teenager who was the last person to see 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings before the girl disappeared in February 2009, is sentenced to 25 years on drug charges from Putnam County.

The time will be served concurrently with the 25 year sentence she is already serving on a St. Johns County conviction of trafficking in oxycodone.

In addition to the prison time, Croslin will receive five years of probation, a $1.25 million fine and mandatory drug rehabilitation.

well now every principal in this case has been sent to prison, and we'll probably never know what really happened to Haleigh.
i guess they all figured 15 to 25 for drug convictions beat life or death penalty for murder.
every actor in this entire druggie soap opera trailer trash drama is to blame for the child being gone. that goes for parents, cousins, grannies, parents of the parents, the whole bunch. the best that will come out of this is that they won't be able to reproduce anymore.

"I am not a drug dealer," a tearful Croslin told the judge Monday at her sentencing hearing. "I have made some bad choices, and I know I have to take what I have done, and I just ask that you give me another chance."

Her father, Hank Croslin Sr. (another druggie jailbird), made the same plea to the judge.

"She was not a drug dealer. She never was," he said. "She just got caught acting stupid. She never sold drugs in her life. I don't believe she took too many of them. I just ask the court be lenient, please."

excuse me?? we have video of her dealing drugs!

Seeing that age-progressed picture is heartbreaking. Makes me mad that Haleigh will never become the beautiful young woman she was meant to be. For the first year after she disappeared, I held onto the hope that this could be a "Gone Baby Gone" type of scenario. Somebody who cared saw the shit she was surrounded by and illegally intervened to give her a better life.

Now, I accept that she's dead. I'm relieved that those most likely directly and indirectly responsible are locked up, but the truth about Haleigh needs to be told. I won't hold my breath.

A new twist in the search for Haleigh Cummings, who’s been missing since 2009. The little girl’s father, Ronald, gets a weekend out of prison after less than a year into his 15 year sentence for drug convictions. Ronald was temporarily released from prison to attend a child custody hearing for another secret child with an unidentified woman. Kim Picazio, the former attorney for Haleigh’s mother Crystal Sheffield, tell us, “This could be a second case where the Department of Children and Families is seeking to take away Ronald’s parental rights,” referring to Ronald’s first custody battle over Junior, his son with Sheffield.

Haleigh Cummings vanished at the age of 5 from her father’s home in the middle of the night. Ronald’s girlfriend at the time, Misty Croslin, was babysitting the child. Cops say the case has not gone cold and they investigate Haleigh’s disappearance frequently.
