Robert Wood Jr., 9 . VA. autistic boy. FOUND ALIVE!!
#21
night has fallen on him again. :(

During a Wednesday afternoon media update, Captain Mike Trice said Robert was last seen about 150 yards from the North Anna River, which is on the northern border of the battlefield. That's where Trice said tracking dogs picked up Robert's scent near the river. The dogs have not yet picked up the scent in any other location.

Crews in kayaks and dive teams scoured the river Wednesday for any signs of the boy. In fact, Trice said crews searched upriver and downriver -- all the way to Route 30 -- without finding any sign of the boy.

Also, Trice said law enforcement worked with Lake Anna officials to lower river levels to assist in the search of deeper areas.

Officials said none of the survival packs throughout the woods had been been disturbed.

I honestly think something is very off about this story. Like I stated earlier, I don't know any parent that would let their child just run off... Maybe, just maybe the dad couldn't handle having two autistic son's... Who the hell knows what the hell happened but I just don't see how this happened...

The boys did not live with the dad. Mom had custody. How much time had Dad spent with his boys?

I read in one of the reports (I will try to find) that the father ran after the boy through the woods but lost sight of him, I think after trying to find him ad couldn't is when they called police.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Ah see I knew I would find it, LC stated it in the first post Smiley_emoticons_smile

Just as an aside to all you people who don't vaccinate because you think that is what causes autism, they have new research showing unique facial characteristics of children with autism that points to a cause in the first trimester of pregnancy. It wasn't mercury in the shot, it was a little closer to home...

What I'm trying to say is: Vaccinate your kids you effing idiots before you make my kids ill.

If the boy can't talk and is easily agitated, he might be hiding when they call for him. The parents have the best chance of finding this boy.

i also don't know why we have not seen either parent in public/media.

Maybe a voice recording of the mom? He's been gone a long time. It isn't impossible for him to survive. He's probably a tough little dude.

The woods probably wasn't the best place for a non-communicative boy. I'm sure dad is kicking himself. I would like to kick dad myself.

Maybe not. He may just walk out of the woods and surprise everybody.

I am going to have to ask you to withdraw from my Daily Affirmation group now.

They took this story down, but here is part that remains: "A volunteer searcher has died after finishing his third round of looking for 8-year-old Robert Wood Jr, said a local woman who was on his search team. Jaimie Petty has searched for Robert since Tuesday, and said that one of the members of Team 15"

Here is something else related: "As soon as she heard about a missing boy with autism, Jaimie Petty thought about her own sons and the bracelets they wear constantly.

Petty's boys both have autism--and they both have electronic tracking devices on their wrists.

Those radio transmitter bracelets are part of Project Lifesaver, an international effort to help law enforcement agencies find missing people who have cognitive disabilities such as Alzheimer's or autism.

The program started in 1999 in Chesapeake. As of yesterday, the devices have helped in 2,447 searches nationwide and 879 in Virginia.

The average search time is 30 minutes, according to Project Lifesaver's records."

If I had a non-communicative family member, I would have those.

I don't get it either. The first day missing, sure the parents are frantic getting the word out to family, talking with LE, etc... But no media appearance to ask everyone to be on the lookout for Robert? Seems a bit hinky to me.

In 5 days he could be miles from the area he ran off in. That is if he is still alive (which I doubt but hope to be proved wrong).
