So I was rubbing my lamp......
#1
......and I noticed that it was an Alladin lamp #11 made between 1926 and 30 or something like that. The people that collect them are just as weird as coin collectors! Here is a linc to how messed up these lamp collectors are. Mine still has a full wick so I guess that means it may be worth 50.00 to one of these smucks. So now I have to find someone that will appreciate this thing more than me. Smiley_emoticons_biggrin Got lamps?

I didn't even know there was a brand called Aladdin lamps.

I'd rather roll in a pile of crushed glass than collect lamps or lamp parts.

Mine looks exactly like this one without the glass part.

I have a couple hurricane lamps but they are nothing special. Does a kick ass chandelier count...because I have to rub on that big bitch to clean it, for now I just sigh whenever I walk by it & see it looking a little dingy.

As you can see they had to bring in extra chairs during the convention to handle the "overflow".

Its not even in the shape of what you would class as a traditional Alladins lamp.

Its just a lamp.

Just a lamp? No not "just a lamp" it is in a box thats probably worth more than the lamp.

When the Lamp is Shattered
by Percy Bysshe Shelley

When the lamp is shattered
The light in the dust lies dead -
When the cloud is scattered,
The rainbow's glory is shed.
When the lute is broken,
Sweet tones are remembered not;
When the lips have spoken,
Loved accents are soon forgot.

As music and splendour
Survive not the lamp and the lute,
The heart's echoes render
No song when the spirit is mute -
No song but sad dirges,
Like the wind through a ruined cell,
Or the mournful surges
That ring the dead seaman's knell.

When hearts have once mingled,
Love first leaves the well-built nest;
The weak one is singled
To endure what it once possessed.
O Love! who bewailest
The frailty of all things here,
Why choose you the frailest
For your cradle, your home, and your bier?

Its passions will rock thee,
As the storms rock the ravens on high;
Bright reason will mock thee,
Like the sun from a wintry sky.
From thy nest every rafter
Will rot, and thine eagle home
Leave thee naked to laughter,
When leaves fall and cold winds come.

.............Just a lamp... geesh!

I was expecting like a golden lamp, like Alladin and the genie, sim sallah bim, open sesame and all that shit.

I wasn't expecting something old and rusty in a box. We have dicks' brain for that.

Poor little fucker, I have much more to share with everyone, I really think you should pace yourself so you don't burn the fuck out before I finish.

Of if that's not a possibility you can sit on your hand to stop the circulation. We call that "The Stranger".

hey Maggot and Ninja, check your comics collections.

An incredibly rare comic that was stolen over a decade ago has been discovered and is expected to sell for a world record $1.5 million.

The inaugural issue of Action Comics from 1938 contained the first ever appearance of Superman and is the most sought after comic in the world.
