What was your favorite gift?
#1
As usual, the little one likes all the expensive stuff, but the $40 Just Dance 3 game is the big hit. We drank (not the little one, I will wait for 10, haha) and danced all night.

My favorite is all the cheap "I love my mom" stuff my little one got me from the school Christmas shop. Smiley_emoticons_smile I will "lose" it slowly, one piece at a time. You can't keep all the crap they give you. I took a picture so I will remember it later. The broke one is detailing my car right now. I like that, too. Way better than a scented candle. The bonus is raising one that has a little sense and gave what they could afford.

oh and i got some lovely loose imported from Scotland tea with an infuser. love my tea!

my sons loved their new shoes and Uggs boots, shirts etc., but the big hit was Boston Bruins Logo wool neck scarves, i thought they'd hate them, and they love them. heh

My favorite gift was a picture my mom painted. She is very talented and I cherish the things she makes. I also loved my flannel pajama pants my youngest son picked out for me - especially since it is socially acceptable to wear them to funerals and court and stuff now. I got the Asus Transformer tablet too - this thing is sweeeeettt! Blows the IPad away in my opinion. This Christmas was especially nice because for once I got my shit together early and was able to actually relax and enjoy instead of wrapping all night. Kid are at dad's now so I get to go drink wine with some good friends...awesome day! Merry Christmas!

That's the one I researched! It scored high in many reviews. Sweet, huh? I'm so sorry I read this. I had myself talked out of it, I don't need it, I have many ways to stay connected but I would very much like to have one.

Oh Duchess, this thing really is very very nice. I am in love. The picture is so sharp and beautiful. Been playing with it all day. Might be best toy I ever had! You've been a good girl right? Splurge! You wont regret.

An oversized coffee mug with a picture of my boys on it-they give me one every year (probably the only time I get them both smiling in the same picture). Last years mug gets retired to a wall rack to become a dust collector.

We do not do much in the way of gifts, but my hubs bought me Stephen King's newest 11/22/63. For those of you who remember the significance of that date...yes that it what it is about.
SK takes the been there/done that story of time travel, and what if..and gives it an interesting new twist. I am finding it interesting so far.

The 59 strat that I have been working on and buy parts for all year.

It's crap to buy shit that someone else won't use or doesn't need.

I told you that we buy all year what we want,Christmas is so screwed with all of the commercialism.

we do have plans to buy a new sofa though we will shop for that just before the end of the fiscal year and during inventory season for the retailers.

Not everyone does that. Some people put thought into the gifts they give.

Weren't you given at least one gift to unwrap today? C'mon.

Nope not one.

I did however give my wife a few things that I know she likes. 2 gift cards for places she likes to shop and a bottle of my favorite perfume.

She should have made sure you had something to unwrap.

Don't you already have everything you need? Most of us probably have everything we want, too. I think I'm going to skip gift giving next year and take everyone on a cruise. I have never been on a cruise ship. Do they still carry diseases or is it safe now?

On a whim, I got my husband a Roku. I honestly didn't know very much about them but I'd heard they were cool and I needed something else to put under the tree for him.

The whole family (except me--I'm cooking) is having a blast with it. Fun little tech toy.

Got the announcement that my nephew and his wife are expecting a baby. This will be the first great-grandchild for my parents. Just a nice message that life goes on and the next generation is in the making.

Totally OT..but I tried playing the Angry Bird game a while back..wanted to know what all the fuss and bother was about. Thought it was dumb, stopped playing after about a minute and a half and never went back.
So just what pissed those birds off.
