The Mary Tyler Moore Show
#1
Most of you are probably too young to remember the show, but it started back when I was in 6th grade, and it's bringing back some warm memories from a simpler time. It's a fun show to watch, the humor is gentle and it's fun seeing the fashions and hairstyles.

If anyone's interested, it's playing on hulu.com. Smiley_emoticons_biggrin

Twas a good show!

Spurred the spinoff Lou Grant which wasn't as good as it could have been. Also Rhoda.

I always liked the character of Murry Slaughter.

I love all the old sitcoms. All in the Family was the best ever, with M*A*S*H being the next best. I care not that Archie was a bigot. It was funny when I was too young to understand or even care what the show was about, and it's even funnier now when I watch the old reruns. I love Caroll O Connor in whatever he was in.

My dad reminded me of Archie in certain ways. Not the bigot part, but his own chair and being waited on hand and foot. He was a long haul trucker and just wanted to relax on the rare occasions he was home. He never treated my mom like a second class citizen though.

I figured out about a month ago that M*A*S*H is on for 3 hours a night on TV Land from 11 to 2........YEAH!!!
