I'm going to give you another perspective, just because I understand different kinds of people:

Some people are horrified when a child dies and a responsible person is supposed to be on guard. Sterling (he'll correct me if I'm wrong) doesn't have a high opinion of you and doesn't feel badly when you get pissed. He sees the child as the victim, not you. You get so caught up with your own perspective that you are totally missing Sterling's.

My advice: Don't poke the bear. Sterling is smart and he'll mindfuck you.
