I can't play either, but my oldest is teaching himself how to play, he has a Stratocaster and an acoustic. He watches clips on the internet for finger placement and has taught himself how to play the opening riff to Stairway to Heaven, Diseased by Seether, Fade to Black by Metallica and is working on the Devil went down to Georgia right now. He doesn't want lessons, I've offered them up to him several times. His father, the festering douche he is, is quite a good guitar player so he gets it from him. I can't sing, dance or play guitar.
