Go back and read everything the retards posted today while I was at work. Then come back and kiss my ass for liking sticks and not liking ignorance.

You lost me ... but probably because I don't care and won't be reading any past crap!

Wut?

I was reprimanding you for criticizing my taste in art when there are so many truly stupid things you could embrace.

I admire artists. I wish I were more artistic.

Whenever you need me F2 I am just a posting away. The only thing that insulted me for real in your posting, is that you thought I was 'up myself' (full of myself) a snob or any of that shit. I fucking hate pretentiousness and I hate people who are like that. Worse I hate people thinking I am like that. I love everyone except people who are up themselves like Madonna, oh and Angelina.

I saw that artist today, this afternoon. His art is so beautiful. So talented.

I am sure there are many talented people here in Mock that are artistic we just don't know it. Look at Zerospheres! I am sure there are artists in this forum.

I love art, I really do. I like to think I am always growing and learning about it. I don't know if any of you have any of you have ever heard of 'Sister Wendy'. She is a nun. She has never had any training in art. But she has an insight into it. She had a program on the ABC about the different galleries in the world. She even went to the US and toured some of your major galleries and she had some wonderful insights and interpretations.

Rough translation - I like art, art good.

I have never come across anyone as naturally talented as Aussie at bullshit and waffle, I am in awe of her ability to type so much while actually saying fuck all.

I am not an artist, but I love to create sometimes. I painted this on a shed in my backyard a few years ago. ~Meow Smiley_emoticons_wink

I know there's another thread for art somewhere in the main forum, but can't find it.

Anyway, re-reading this thread made me laugh. Classic, "I am more educated and cultured than everyone else!" posts from my friend aussie (who also happens to find snobbery repulsive). Funny stuff.

So, Andy Warhol...
He keeps popping up all over the arts and entertainment news sections these days.

I don't know how much the previous owners paid for his pieces, but gotta think those private collectors/investors are raking in major profits on re-sell. Huge business.

Recently auctioned for $57 million USD: "Coca-Cola (3)"
Painted in 1962; one of several "Coca-Cola" paintings by Warhol.

[Image: Warhol+Silver+Car+Crash+Auctioned+Sotheb...EhZYrl.jpg]
Recently auctioned for $105.4 million USD: "Silver Car Crash (Double Disaster)"
This lesser-known Warhol painting shows a twisted body in the wreckage of a car crash, part of Warhol's vaunted "Death and Disaster" series, painted in 1963.

[Image: WPTV-Farrah-Fawcett-Andy-Warhol-painting...20_240.JPG]
Valued at $12 million to $30 million USD: "Farrah Fawcett" portrait.
This is one of two Fawcett portraits and is currently the subject of a nasty lawsuit between the University of Texas (Farrah left them her art collection) and Ryan O'Neal. The portraits were painted in 1980.

Everyone has an artist inside themselves. Confidence and ignoring what others think and following your heart goes a long way.

Well, like art, I guess that's open to interpretation.

When I re-read this thread, it was a good laugh all the way through and that's what your words spoke to me loud and clear in your posts.

5050 on whether you were yanking chains or serious. If serious, it's even funnier. Either way, making people laugh is a performance art in itself and a good thing.

I was under attack and I think I went on the defensive, but I still don't think that I gave off a message implied or otherwise of being superior or more cultured than anyone else.

I think it is your interpretation HoTD, or maybe you are projecting onto me your own aloof snobbishness. I think that may be closer to the truth.

I just thought it was funny stuff - it wasn't meant to offend you.

But, I have zero problem with you seeing me as an aloof snobby projectionist for acknowledging that you post some funny stuff on a site where posting funny stuff is kinda the idea in most of the sub-forums.

If it makes you feel better, I acknowledge that you're not always funny. Sometimes your defensiveness is just plain tiresome.

It didn't! It offends me that you think I am offended.

Ouch and a dark side to boot. I thought we were having a pleasant tete-a-tete.
