Forced Charity
#1
Social programs are ruining our economy. All of the money collected in forced taxation is returned to our people as benefits. Administrative costs are well over 10 percent. It is estimated that for every $1.50 collected from taxpayers, only $.50 actually makes it to the hands of the recipients (this includes admin costs, compliance costs, collection and distribution costs).

Rather than stealing my money, give me a tax break for every dollar in goods, services, and cold hard cash I give to the needy. I would rather give someone a percentage of my pay directly than have the government pay people to cheat me by keeping most of the money.

I'm tired of losers having any influence on my lifestyle and income. Fuck them. If you are a decent person in a bad situation you are trying to fix, I will help you. If you are a generational welfare cow, fuck off. If you are on welfare and your kids break laws, skip/dropout/fail out of school, fuck you. I am paying for you to do a good job and you aren't. No money for you.

If the gov't gave you a dollar for dollar tax break (or lower overall percentage of taxation) for charitable cash donations, would you give to those less fortunate?

I give to the United Way through work but I chose where my money goes. I also donate to the Salvation Army clothes we no longer wear that are in good shape. I donate to the Ronald McDonald house as well. The morning radio show I listen to is a big supporter of them and it''s an amazing organizaton. Also, one of my friends stayed there when her baby boy was born premature.

I hate people that take and take and take and never do anything to make their life better. They teach their kids to do the same. I am not rich. I am supporting my kids pretty much by myself. But I don't take handouts, welfare, food stamps, or state paid health insurance for my kids. I work my ass off (contrary to Cracker's beliefe Smiley_emoticons_wink ) and I do without things for myself so I can give to my kids.

I mentioned my ex and his UE situation. He has not worked in over a year. He has been collecting UE this whole time. Which he is entitled too. However, between April and October of last year he went on SIX vacations while collecting UE. THAT is stealing. You can only collect UE when you are able and ready to work. Being in Vegas is not ready and able to work. He was investigated due to a tip to the fraud hotline. He had to pay back 4 weeks of benefits and now he only gets half what he was previously getting a week. He blames me. He thinks I called. It's irrelevant who called. If he was not doing anything wrong he wouldn't have gotten in trouble. The ex actually thinks that he is going to tell the judge at court next week about this and that it;s my fault he isn't getting as much money thus he shouldn't have to pay support. I can't wait to see how this goes over.

Fuck those national charities.

I give through local Church venues only.

Goodwill used to be good, today they are screwed up, people don't get shit from goodwill unless they buy it and the money goes into the hands of people who don't distribute it except to themselves. Most goodwill stores are now franchised.

But.......... you can drop things off and they will ask you what you think its worth and give you a reciept for it. I got 200.00 this year from saving all me stubs giving my trash to them. It saved me a dump fee also.

Whatever turns the TEC screws in your head.

Church giving is also tax deductable.

The difference is the Church doesn't sell the stuff to the people that need it, they also just give it to them.

I think everyone would like more of a say in where their taxes go and what it is spent on.

I have two local charities I regularly contribute to, all the starving kids in Africa drinking dirty water can fuck off, why aren't their own governments helping them?
