Political correctitude is a modern superstition...

People should learn to think rather than brainwashed to love. I find the brainwashing offensive because it can be used by those teaching love to teach anything else they want with it like "we're all equal except for this specific group of low lifes whose bodies we must stack". War and hatred is the result of letting others do your thinking more than any other thing. It's based on hatred quite often but hatred can't live in the light of day but only the darkness of ignorance. When one gives up his right to do his own thinking he's giving up the right to a dissenting opinion and contributing to the community of ideas. He's relinquishing much of his humanity and turning control over to someone who might not have his best interests at heart.

PC is wrong and is solely for the purpose of controlling people. PC is dangerous and a major evil in the world today.

Obviously every idea associated with PC isn't evil, merely the extensive brainwashing that's going on. This is being taught in lieu of reading and writing (including cursive). How ironic that people won't be able to sign their name or have their own opinion.

Just kidding around, Clad. Seriously, how do you think that the government is discouraging you from hating (or loving, for that matter) any individual or group over another? I haven't personally had that experience/feeling. Curious.

I probably answered your question in the previous post.

In actuality I believe government action might actually be designed to increase friction between people and groups. By favoring one group over another because of past injustices they are creating CURRENT injustices. Rather than letting the past die and serve as an object lesson to people to not do it again they are fanning the flames and putting incompetence in even more places than it would be naturally. This isn't to say any minority is more likely to be incompetent, it's merely to say that less qualified people are more likely to be incompetent or promoted to a position of incompetence.

I think most bigotry would be gone today without government interference and what would exist can only be eradicated by demographics. You can't legislate love.

I disagree.

What difference does it make if one group is smarter, cleaner, or more honest than another. We are all still individuals and individuals vary far more widely than any group or "race" on the face of the earth. "Stupid" is an acquired trait but intelligence rarely has much meaning in adults and can hardly be tested. Intelligence is mostly related tothe speed which one learns as currently defined and some people just take longer to get there than others.

I don't entirely hate you. Don't extrapolate, I just don't hate you.

It used to be improper for women to wear pants or for interracial couples to marry. When attitudes start to change, there's pressure exerted for others to follow suit.

I never saw it in that sense...that's pretty cool...I do know that as much as it irritates (some) parents to have their kids learning/celebrating about other cultures in public schools that if we didn't teach our kids respect for others cultures we would live in bedlam and could lead to civil wars....
