He can finally smoke a joint legally

Comedian Tommy Chong has been diagnosed with Stage 1 prostate cancer.

The Cheech and Chong star confirmed the health crisis during a Saturday night interview with news channel CNN, revealing he was diagnosed last month.

He said, "I've got prostate cancer, and I'm treating it with hemp oil, with cannabis... I'm taking it as a medicine."

Chong insists his cancer battle is not related to his love of marijuana -- because he was drug-free when he started having prostate-related problems several years ago.

And the comic told CNN newsman Don Lemon his diagnosis has made him even more determined to decriminalize weed.

He added, "It means a lot more to me than just being able to smoke a joint without being arrested."

It is not known whether Chong's health issues will upset his plans for a Cheech and Chong comedy tour, scheduled for later this year.

oh and btw, those nudes of Snooki?

Fo'reals. She's a complete pig.

Snooki is a pig. They all are. That Jersey Shore show is demented. I was channel surfing once and there she was stratching her ass on camera. Then she said her 'ass was sore' so she went and sat her ass inside a bar fridge. You know it's all for attention.

The ratings must be dropping because it's getting worse. I saw it for about a minute yesterday and Mike "The Situation" was talking trash about a fellow cast member "Deena" and her sister, saying that her sister was a "squirter". It is so gross and so down in the gutter. It's a kind of pornography in itself. It's time that bunch was yanked off the air. So boring. So desperate.

I like Tommy Chong; hope he battles the cancer and sticks around for a long long time.

The first movie I saw with my friends (rather than parents) was Up In Smoke. Loved it. Saw it twice at the Azusa Drive-In. The second time, there were 6 of us in the back of a pick-up with a cooler and party favors. I got home with one of my shoes and one of my friend's shoes. The shoes looked nothing alike. Oddly, she ended up with same mismatched pair and we were so embarassed that we met behind the school 12 early on a Monday to trade back, big secret. Ha. I really miss drive-in movies.

I think it's a good thing, no one should be denied a medication that helps them feel better, especially a natural medicine.

The FDA would like to regulate all natural remedies, That should never be allowed to happen.
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

There are still some drive-ins in California too, but few and far between. Drive-ins were a big part of my childhood and teenage years. I love 'em.

I took my niece to her only drive-in when I first moved up to Northern California. The Burlingame Drive-In was still open and she was about 10. It was old school; not refurbed state-of-the-art like in San Jose. I loved it. She hated it. There were only like 5 other cars there and she thought it was creepy watching a movie outside in the dark. She was also not happy walking in the gravel to get stale popcorn and use the dirty bathrooms. Had to take her to see the same movie at a "real theater with seats" the next day as penance. Yeah, she owned me, still does.Smiley_emoticons_slash

I have a drive-in 6 miles down the road from me. Have another one 20 miles Southeast, and another one 30 miles Southwest. They're all over the midwest.
We used to have one in the town 20 miles North of here that showed X-rated movies...yep, snuck in there all the time with my first husband because we were underage. It's long gone now...there's a Walmart there now.

Sorry Aussie but they just started filming season 6 of Jersey Shore. WITH Snookie pregnant. This should be the last season or so they say.

The one near me has both old school sound and newer technology. They show first run movies all the time which is cool, plus they do some retro showings occasionally just for fun.

Good times.

Rub it in, Jimbone. hah

Btw, I don't feel badly for derailing this thread just a bit; somehow I think Tommy Chong wouldn't mind that news of his illness and ability to smoke legally has Hairy, Jim, and FAHQTOO thinking about good times at the drive-in.

I've heard you mention this show before so I think you're watching it more than you'd like to admit. You seem to know quite a bit about it from just channel surfing.

I watched all of the Cheech and Chong movies at the drive-in in my younger days.
Good times, good memories.

First, I would love to. hah

And you're right... I can almost hear Tommy saying, "Hey man, far out!"

You better hope that no gif of a t-shirt that says "rub it in" exists. The sheer embarassment of it all. Smiley_emoticons_wink

I still have all my Cheech and Chong vinyl. Great stuff. I pulled it out and listened to it again after I read this article.
