Little insight: the woman in question wasn't some new hire pity case, she was a former driver in the same district for something like twenty years, then transferred to monitor when her age began to take her driving skills. Longtime employee, probably very familiar with the politics in question at the Greece school district, which is well-known locally as a shitty district to work for or send your kids through. And my own experience in the teaching profession taught me that kids are not allowed to be held accountable for any behavior any more. Administration won't punish for fear of "not my angel" parents lawyering up, teachers can't, won't or don't bother to scold kids when both child and teacher know all threats are empty, and classrooms are essentially taken over by the worst kid in the room because you can't get rid of the little fucker. That woman's hands were tied. She probably was just planning to ignore those little fucks, and their own stupidity in posting the video brought all this about. Had she lost her temper and hollered, they'd have edited the video, shown only her angry reaction, and today all the idiots contributing to her vacation fund would be calling for her head on a stick.
Bunch of easily led automotons in this country...
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.

The Greece School District has announced the punishment for the four students who were involved in the bullying of bus monitor Karen Klein.
The students have been suspended for one year.
According to the school district the parents of all four boys are on board with this decision.
Furthermore they are prohibited from riding the school bus for a year.
Each student will attend an alternative program at the district re-engagement center. From there they need to perform 50 hours of community service with senior citizens.
The students will also be required to complete a formal bullying prevention program.
Earlier this week, News10NBC was able to hear Karen read the apology letters she's received from the students. She said the only hand written letter was the most sincere.
“Now I have learned an important lesson is to treat other people the way you wanted to be treated and I've treated you wrong.”
Klein said that she believes he is serious.
The father of the boy who wrote Klein that hand-written letter agrees with the punishment his son will be getting and hopes to put the whole situation behind them.
He’s also mentioned how he would like to apologize to Klein in person.
He has driven by her house several times, and either she hasn't been home or there have been members of the media there. He says he wants to have that conversation in private.
"I'm hoping that he learns that if something happens like this again, I'm just hoping that he learns to step in and say something and either that or just walk away.”
The district says each student will have an opportunity to re-enroll at Greece Athena after 30 weeks of the suspension if they meet all the requirements and do well in the alternative program.
As for Karen Klein, she was in Boston today.
Earlier this week, Karen said she might be ready for face-to-face meetings with the boys as well.
However this hasn't happened just yet.
