Bad, Donovan! Bad, bad, bad!! *swats him with a rolled up newspaper*

What? Only the fish and the birds. And the squirrel. And a couple of cats. And, like, half a pony once in college but I was really drunk. Also those puppies when I dated that Vietnamese chick. But other than that practically nothing.

Sorry.
(I wouldn't have made the crack over on the Mock Bus thread had I read this first. . . Kinda too lazy to go find my post and edit it anyway...)

Her hips have let her down and she can't walk.

I love her even though I've never met her. She's beautiful and I'm truly sorry that she's leaving you, Dick.

Damn. I am going to freaking fall apart when I have to say goodbye to my dog.

What is her diagnosis? That is the US of A. Don't you have some progressive medicine that can intervene? Or is it too late? That is very upsetting.

Please rub her tummy for me tonight. I'm going to rub my dog's tummy for an extra few minutes tonight thinking about your sweet girl.

Aww, it's so hard. It might be kinder to her to put her down though. 72

At the moment she is content to have me taking care of her.

I know everyone has their own way of dealing with this type of thing...

My dog wasn't very sickly when I found out she was going to die, there was no way around it, it was going to happen. I didn't want to make the decision to put her down until I absolutely had to & my vet told me to think of three of her favorite things & when she could no longer do two of them the time had come. That helped me a great deal. I needed to put her life first & not my emotions.

I like Duchess's vet's advice. But, if she's past the point of doing much already (I had a dog at that point and was struggling) maybe think of what you'd want for yourself if you had the same limitations.

You love her; she trusts you. You'll know.

She is dealing with it, the more I watch her the more I think she might have a had a little stroke or something, she is getting a little stronger.
