CHRISTMAS GIFTS

Do the people in your life that know you will gift them with something tell you what they'd like to have? I'm going to assume that your children do.

I ask. I hate giving people something that would end up sitting in a closet.

I ask the people who matter. The ones that don't I just get them something that I think they need.

My aunt doesn't give anyone anything for Christmas or birthdays.
Not. Even. Her. Own. Grand kids.

But she calls me a month before her birthday and a month before Christmas to inform me of what she wants. Bitch.

Next time your aunt calls you and requests a certain gift, tell her you have already bought all of your Christmas presents..............maybe on your honeymoon or before. BTW, best wishes on your marriage.

Over the years we have learned it's smarter for the big ticket items, to give exactly what's wanted. One size fits all, perfect color, no returns required, called "Gift Cards". Actually, it's better for the recipients as well, since after Christmas, all the stores have 50% or more off sales on all items. So in reality, the denomination of the gift card "doubles", so recipients are happy.
And of course, we buy a lot of tangible smaller gifts for our loved ones, so they have presents to open on Christmas day . It works well for us.

I will. I haven't had much time to go through them yet. The photographer sent me over 1000 on a zip. I'm going to try to get to them this weekend.
