Breaker or Breakee?
#1
Are you usually the heartbreaker or the breakee?

I've been both. I had my heart broke once & that's all it took to learn not to ever again love someone more than he loved me.

Fuck. Can you fix the title?

I've been the breaker twice. I didn't like it. It takes a lot for me to let someone in now.

I was pretty damn heartbroken when the current husband and I broke up for awhile when we were dating even though I sort of initiated it. Otherwise breaker. I came home one night and sort of out of nowhere told my first husband I wanted a divorce. He said, "umm, counseling"? I said "newp". I broke up with another guy who revealed to me during the breakup "but I was going to propose to you"!

My husband could still break my heart. Smiley_emoticons_slash

I doubt most people are going to say "oh yeah, I always got dumped".

I got dumped & I was crushed for a long time, utterly devastated. At the time it was the worst pain I had ever experienced.

I had this guy try and pull rank on me recently and it's like....honey, you are way out of your depth.

Was he afraid of commitment? I think a lot of dumping occurs over that.

I would only be concerned about someone who was always on the receiving end of a break up. Time for some self examination there. Either you suck at picking dates or there's something not right about your dating interactions (like having a dick that is as lifeless as boiled shrimp).

You are a riddle and a mystery wrapped in pleather.

Out of nowhere?

I call shenanigans.

What do you mean? I think he probably knew at some level that I wasn't wildly happy but I know the "D" word wasn't expected. We never fought or anything. He really was a truly nice guy and we divorced pretty amicably. It's just he started talking about having kids and I realized he wasn't the man I wanted to have children with. I never should have said "yes" in the first place but I was young and dumb and didn't have any other immediate plans for the two years we were married. 50

I just meant those things usually aren't out of nowhere... you clarified by basically saying the marriage was a sham.

Was he Asian?

He wasn't afraid of commitment, he had a vision of us that I didn't share right then, I was in school, I had things to do & places to go, I thought we had all the time in the world, what's the rush, he didn't agree.

Ahhh, the opposite! You weren't ready to "settle down". Sorry but that makes you the breaker in that case as far as I'm concerned.

Hmmm..I spent most of my life as a breaker I recon, not by design, just worked out that way.
Then it happened to me. She was beautiful, Blonde Very well built had her own home and money and a Home Depot card.
6 months in she kicked me to the curb like an empty coors can, bad day.
I think I was breaking the ground rules and she was liking it to much, got scared which pissed her off.
I hope this one hangs in there, really do not want to do that again.

Being the beakie is for the birds, no doubt.

You are a gracious woman. I'm not well-versed in the language of squawk and do appreciate when a prolific squawker such as yourself offers assistance.

So, did you have a chance to hit the beach before school started up?

It's been cold here. Raining heavy yesterday. We haven't had a proper summer. Sometimes it gets hotter late February and March, so I am still up for a swim after school. It's heaps of fun. If surfs up HoTD, I will post some pics if we ride the waves. Relaxed Drink

Until then, don't go 'beaking' anyone's heart.
