CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY, WOMAN

Some countries feel that granting women rights like the ability to drive, travel, work and use contraception could destroy society as they know it. These same countries don't allow women to manage money either.

What would happen in your home if you weren't allowed to do any of that? Would the men in here be cool with that way of life?

I have lived in this kind of society. You would be surprised how quickly the western men adapt and change to this way of thinking. It's another planet that kind of thinking, let's hope we never see it in our world.

Since I'm the only adult and I'm a woman. We would be in trouble. Or have a house full of video games, sports, junk food and porn.

Hell no my husband wouldn't be okay with that. It's not like he's interested in carting the kids all over hell and back every damn day.

We get it aussie. You hate men and think they are pigs if left to their own devices.

Aeons ago, when I was young and foolish, I did not want my wife to work. As I had a notion (pride) where the "man was the provider", and a woman should not have to work. Not work at a "job" that is, household chores around the house, that was OK.
Over the years, I realized that women (wives) could and should work at a job, if they wanted to, and chose to do so. Not to mention, the "second income" these days, is welcomed by many families.

I used to think just the opposite of Cars.

I was happy when my wife was working and we were making extra $$$.

Now, I feel very fortunate that she's able to stay home with them and be that so-called 'suburban hausfrau'.

As they're getting older I know it's getting easier for her.

She loves her life (I think??).

According to something I recently read a trend has been continuing of more and more families foregoing the extra paycheck in favor of one of the parents staying home and raising the kids. While the number of men choosing to do that is not equal to the number of women their ranks are growing faster than ever before.

Yes, have actually seen that occurring with one of the young families we know. The one that stayed home was the one with the lower income. (Turned out to be the husband)
