Lets give shaky home buyers more credit.
#1
The Obama administration is engaged in a broad push to make more home loans available to people with weaker credit, an effort that officials say will help power the economic recovery but that skeptics say could open the door to the risky lending that caused the housing crash in the first place.

If you make the same mistake over and over and you get the same result what is that called?

I have recently begun thinking our president is here to destroy the U.S.A. for some crazy reason. Why would anyone loan out money to people with bad credit ......again? And why would the justice dept. be involved?

Economy wise the past several years have sucked so bad. I can hardly believe they are going down this road again. Those in charge have learned nothing.

There was a period of time where I wasn't getting any credit card offers at all but now I'm back to getting about a half dozen a week, it's not unusual to sometimes find three a day in my mailbox. It makes me wonder if those who don't pay their bills are getting them too and are being extended a line of credit.

It (the credit industry) is the fastest and largest customer service hiring sector from the first quarter to date.

This includes banks, too.

Yes, this will turn out well.

Look at what a smashing success it was last time.

First thing that came to mind when I read this post:

I don't understand the big demand for shaky homes anyway.

Mine was literally shaky for 8 months straight when the city did the street beautification in my area (nightmare, they started at 6 am) and whenever there's an earthquake. It's not all it's cracked up to be.

This new/old plan by the Obama administration is so seriously ill-advised and shortsighted. Where are his financial gurus? Are they clueless or is he just not listening? What am I missing? Truly puzzled about adopting the same practice that largely contributed to the collapse of the economy in the first place.

I don't know how this jives with his supposed increased banking regulations. I didn't really pay attention to what those were but is he reversing course?

I don't know either; admittedly ignorant about how the two connect (or deviate) because I'm too frustrated with the White House right now to research deeply.

What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value.
