Below is a the story of a guy who, for lack of travel papers was stranded in Charles de Gaulle Airport for an extended time; 18 years. Snowden may fare better, but who knows?

His autobiography has been published as a book (The Terminal Man) and was the basis for the movie The Terminal.

Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed today that Edward Snowden is in a Moscow airport, but said he is a "free person" and will not be stopped from leaving the country by Russian authorities, despite warnings from the U.S. government that the 30-year-old be handed over.
I know that this has already been confirmed & posted but I want to comment on the last sentence. "Despite warnings"? What the hell does that even mean? Comply or else? Or else what? What the hell do they think they are going to do to Russia? That's laughable. Same goes for their bluster directed at China...and people had such a big problem with Bill not keeping his pecker in his pants. Those were the good ol' days, the days when our biggest problem was a Prez who liked to dick around. This shit is ridiculous and still one more day that the government isn't stepping up and accepting at least half of the responsibility for this fiasco.
Contrary to my disrespectful attitude I still believe I live in the greatest country in the world.

Re: Bill Clinton, I always crack up when conservative types get all indignant and claim "That man taught my child what oral sex was!" When the truth is, the republicans taught our kids what oral sex is by making it a political thing. Sex hijinx have gone on in the White House since forever but people used to have enough class not to politicize it. We've become a nation of Walmart People. Trashy, cheap and of little value.
So, Hong Kong has made a public statement that Snowden is not welcome back.
Ecuadorian President, Correa, has made a public statement that the country has seen the request for asylum, but they won't consider it unless he's already in Ecuador.
Obama has made a public statement labeling Snowden a hacker and someone whose crimes are not worthy of scrambling jets or risking international relations to intercept him. He says that countries should just turn him over so the matter can be handled legally in the US.

Probably, I've long suspected that Wikileaks are not the bastions of truth and transparency they claim to be they've got their own hidden agenda just like every other organisation.
