I bought a national lotto scratchcard this morning, I scratched it at lunchtime and what do you know I won £200!
I've just taken it back to the supermarket to claim my prize I walked up to the counter gave the woman my winning card and she said “no that's not right, we can't do that”. I said “oh shit have i read the card wrong?” She said “yeah we can't give out winnings that big over the counter you will have to contact lotto to claim your prize”. I said “really? I thought you would be able to give me £200 over the counter?”
She looked at me like I was the worlds biggest retard and said “you've won £2000 not £200 see?” And she showed me the card like a dog being shown a card trick. “I can't give you £2000 over the counter you see?”. I just grabbed the card back and sneaked out feeling a mixture of happiness and humiliation.

I buy maybe 2 or 3 scratch cards a month and I think the most I've ever won on one was £50 i think and that was years ago.
My parents had a big win on the football pools years and years ago but apart from that we aren't exactly the luckiest family in the world.

I won four dollars on the powerball the other day and then I accidentally through the damn ticket away while cleaning off my desk. I don't think I've ever won anything over 10 bucks.

I will definitely check that out. I know a lot of pornstars have ended up checking out in various sad and tragic ways. Lots of HIV, drug and suicide related deaths among pornstars. I can remember back in 1993 when Savannah ended her own life and everyone was so shocked because she was so young, beautiful and wealthy.
I took all of our assorted scratch off tickets in the other day and collected a whopping $34 that probably cost me at least $100.

My husband worked with a guy at the labor hall years ago that won $50,000 on a scratch off. The dumb ass blew it all right away and the next time we saw him he didn't even have a car. He did take us out for dinner after he won the money though.
I did a scratchoff the other day, and all I got was a scab.
One of the exes friends won $500k in the mega millions about 10 years ago.
