Jim Carrey star of the upcoming sequel Kick Ass 2 has withdrawn support for the film following the Sandy Hook massacre.

Carrey tweeted “I did kickass a month before Sandy Hook and now in all good conscience I cannot support that level of violence”.

“My apologies to others involved with the film. I am not ashamed of it but recent events have caused a change in my heart” he added.

Carrey is well known for his support of gun control measures.

Weird. He reportedly took the role because the character he plays refuses to fire guns.

Thats Dumb and Dumber than his previous statements.
