Really curious as to the possible motive on this one. Investigators are being extremely tight-lipped.

The victims (shot to death): 16-year-old John Lajeunesse, 17-year-old Dominic Davis, 17-year-old Steven Presley, and 22-year-old mother Rikki Jacobsen (the driver of the car).

The suspect: 26-year-old Jacob Allen Bennett

The bodies were found last week by a local resident on Renegade Mountain, an area about 65 miles west of Knoxville. They were in a car parked on a country road.

Police arrested Bennett quickly; no details as to how or why they fingered him have been released (he has a long rap sheet).

The Assistant DA announced Friday that he is looking to empanel a grand jury in the very near future to consider charging Bennett in relation to the mass murder. He's being held for unrelated parole violations at this time.

The four suspects (three students and a young mother) are said, by a friend of one of the victims, to have been going out to four wheel that day. Police believe they were not random victims, but were instead targeted.

Well, the suspect looks like a complete piece of shit.

Maybe a drug dealer?

Did one of the 4 maybe owe him money, and the other three were unfortunate victims of wrong place, wrong time?
He could be a drug dealer, MS. He's definitely a criminal.

AFAIK, his rap sheet is mostly theft related, not drug-specific.

Nothing (released publicly) indicates that the victims were into illegal activity. Doesn't mean they weren't, just haven't seen anything to that effect.

The fact that LE claims the 4 were targeted and killed in the car where they were found, plus LE's swiftness in fingering and arresting Bennett (the next day), makes me wonder if one or more of the victims had a relationship of some kind with the suspect. If that's the case, might be related to drugs, or something more personal.

All idle speculation; still no further details released by LE.
Looks like the murders were drug-related, MS. But, it's not clear who the dealer was (I'm thinking Rikki Jacobsen, just based on her being the driver and one of the intended robbery victims).

Today, the grand jury indicted Bennett and his lovely girlfriend, 25 year old Lina Moser (below). The two reportedly tried to rob Jacobsen and Davis during a pot exchange which resulted in the quadruple homicide.

The couple is being held on four felony murder and two attempted aggravated robbery charges. Bennett, who is accused of being the gunman, was also charged with four counts of premeditated murder.
Not sure how someone is capable of executing 4 people, point blank like that.

Hope the death penalty is given for these two pieces of filth.
Tennessee does have the death penalty.

LE has confirmed that the victims knew Bennettt "to some degree" but haven't clarified the relationship between them yet, so not sure if the victims were selling drugs to him, or running drugs for him, or what.

Whatever the case, if he's guilty, Bennett killed 3 minors and a young mother with premeditation.

Prosecutors will probably pursue the DP, for him at least, unless the victims' families object. He's a perfect candidate for it.
He's definitely a criminal.

A typically falls loosely from the chest down to just above the hips.
