Feel free to mock away, I can take it, but hear me out before you mock.
Do any of you believe, at all, in paranormal mumbo jumbo? Visits from beyond? Messages?
Back story: for part of the last year before he died, my dad got his simple pleasure from taming a squirrel who used to come visit him on his porch. He would feed him peanuts. It reached a point that the squirrel would come right up onto the porch, if dad left the door ajar. One time, I opened the porch door and there was this damn squirrel sitting there on the top step. I shrieked and slammed the door.My dad pretty much said WTF did you do that for? Let him in. Damn squirrel came sauntering in. I think he peed on my foot.
Anyway, after my dad died, I went to spend a few days at his house. One day I came back from my brother's, inside the porch was the squirrel sitting by my dad's empty chair. That did it,I lost it.
Fast forward 25 years to this week. For a couple / three days I have been leaving my house (my dad never visited here) and have been finding empty peanut shells on the steps. One day, a squirrel was sitting there. Just sitting.
Coincidence? My dad saying hello? Or should I be calling my therapist asking for more meds?
