You wouldn't believe the number of women who support this where it's done and the women who carry out the mutilation consider it an honor. Ugh. These women aren't like you & I. They are uneducated, some have never been outside their village. They truly don't know any different.

This is why the men do not want their women in school. In those countries they are like cattle.
Cows get more respect than women do there.
That, unfortunately so, is very true.
Why? The "Why" is always so utterly important really, and many times, unfortunately. A Wife is simply something for comfort. Something to give children, that might create income. However, the first income from a wife will happen in a years time, after which it needs to be nourished, and before it can do any good, such as working in a sweat shop for Nike or Max Mara, it will take many years, whereby a cow!
Now a cow on the other hand! Instant milk, the kids grow up so much faster, to become meat on the table at like 300$ a head which is a fortune in many areas, plus the daily milk for yoghurt, butter, cream, and nobody tells you how many cows you can have at the same unlike wives.
If everybody on the planet would live in the same circumstances and with the same luxuries like the States, we would need 4 planets to support it.
Live the luxury, but do realize what it takes to do it and don't condemn those who wake up in the morning with nothing but dust on their face.

I don't condemn people for living in poverty or having a vastly different culture and lifestyle.
But, yeah, I do condemn the practice of mutilating female genitalia so that women can be deprived of sexual pleasure and therefore be less likely to stray.
There's no religious or even economic justification for that practice to exist, AFAIK. It's just a means by which to perpetuate the laziness of men and contempt for female equality, even when it comes to sexual pleasure.
I'd condemn people who practiced cutting off the heads of boys' and mens' penises in order to keep them focused on bringing home the bacon and theoretically render them less likely to stray sexually, as well (even if some of the males were so indoctrinated that they seemingly supported it).
