A mom has said her kids were so ungrateful and felt so entitled that her & her husband have called off Christmas.

She said she hasn't cancelled the decorations, celebrating the birth of Jesus or any other traditional things of that nature just the presents & stockings. This year their letters to Santa will be asking him to find someone who needs their presents more.

What do you think? Good parenting or taking it too far?
Good for her.

They have three boys and they appear to be like around 10 and on down. She posted their pix, I'm choosing not to. I don't think that's relevant other than to show they are little kids. How do you tell little kids who still believe in Santa that he's not coming because you're an ingrate?
I'm guessing if they're writing letters to Santa that they're probably still pretty young.

I'd like to think there's still a way that they could 'earn back' Christmas by improving their behavior.

I don't like the Idea of calling it off completely.

If you have a flair for the dramatic and resources, you do it with a billboard.
The parents are using the money they wound spend on their kids to but presents for needy kids. I think it's a good lesson for their kids. Christmas isn't just about getting presents. And if the kids are going to behave for a few weeks only to get presents, they are missing the point.
Never take parenting advice from Ramsey.

Her kids act like little fuckers because she's a fucktard. There are plenty of things she can do to teach her kids about the spirit of Christmas and giving to others without having to use her kids just for the sake of being a attention whore. You found this somewhere on the internet right, not to mention the pictures of her kids.

What could your children under 10 who still believe in Santa possibly do so bad that you would need to do that to them? She needs to take a look at herself.

Yes, I did but I first heard about it on the Today Show and their opinion is the same as yours. They commented on her posting her kids pix as well as wondering aloud about the attention seeking mom.

Yeah, she's definitely an attention whore. Who the fuck goes on TV and says 'I'm canceling Christmas for my kids because they're little bastards?

I have a friend that canceled the fun part of Christmas on her 11 year old. He was the only one of 5 kids that consistently refused to do any chores or help around the house, and he treated the rest of the family like dirt at the time. She got him socks and underwear and hygiene products. The rest of the kids got candy and toys. She didn't go blabbing to the Today show about it.
I never said she should go on TV Sally. But teaching her kids that Christnas is more than just getting presents.

Sally needs to get laid worse than I do. By someone she's actually attracted to. Either that or she's out of beer and smokes again. Cranky bitch.

(Corrected my post. Stupid time limit.)
Mom's a "look at me" asshole.

She raised her kids to be ingrates and now she wants a bunch of attention and bat-packs for supposedly punishing them for her own superficiality.

If she's really seen the error of her ways and the impacts on her sons, she'd let Santa Claus come as scheduled, delivering pooper scoopers, acadamic flash cards, vitamins, etc...
Stupid evil cow. That will come back to bite her on the arse when her kids are grown up. No matter what she does for them from now on, they will always remember she was a bitch to them at Christmas time.

The best lesson you can teach your kids, is to be kindhearted, giving, loving. That is a lifelong journey.

This year, i am working Christmas day, before you go feeling sorry for me, I get paid a vulgar amount of money for my trouble. Then we are checking into a posh hotel for 2 days, and hitting the shops on Boxing Day in the city.
A bat pack sounds terrifying.
Is it me or have the shops got it right this year? EVERY shop we went into yesterday was rocking. My god it was so much fun.
I had to drive past the mall yesterday, I made me shiver, thinking about all those bat packs

Scary stuff, for real.

Altitudinally altered here -- my nose has been bleeding off and on all day. I do believe some brain cells sneaked out with the blood cells.

(I meant back-pats, mart-sass.)

Mall rats and bat packs scouring around the same enclosed space is a pretty scary thought.
Don't tone it down. This is scary. Those aren't rabbits!

I'm canceling Christmas. My kids won't help decorate the tree anymore, they say it's boring :(
