Is anyone having a party or going to one?

I'm having some close friends over. Nothing huge.
We always have a SB party. Just my wife's two sisters and their kids. Usually a chili cookoff is part of the deal too.

My son and daughter pick one of the teams to cheer for and they do face paint to get in the spirit.

However, a complication has arisen.

My wife's brother had a child last year on Feb 4th. From now on, his b-day party will always be SB Sunday. They live 60 miles west of the Twin Cities and the three daughters live within 5 miles of each other in the West Metro.

So, none of them want to mention that we are going to excuse ourselves early to go have a SB party amongst ourselves.

I know my 7 year old will botch it. He'll say something like, "we gotta get out of here for our SB party."

BG, a big week in Phoenix.

Tiger and Phil are playing in the PGA event and of course the SB.

Is any of that affecting your day to day life?

That sounds like it could be fun.

Like BG, I'm just having a few close friends over. I haven't given any real thought about what I'm feeding everyone. I only know about the booze & the weed.
My husband's birthday is on the 5th and my kids have their birthday on the 7th so we often have a combined SB/birthday party. We're doing it this year...usually it's just us and my husband's family. My husband leaves on the 4th to go spend her birthday with her.

Nah, Phoenix is 160 miles away. If you're going to be in Phoenix for a PGA event, I'm betting you'll be in Scottsdale and if that's the case I suggest you try a Rehab Burger while you're there. It's a must if you're into quality burgers.

I have a buddy going to PHX on Monday. I'll give him the tip.

Hate to be the spoiler here, but Feb 4th will not always fall on a Sunday, nor is SB always on the 4th. So take head, MS, Your SB party won't be interrupted every year. Unless the kid has a floating holiday. LOL

On a side note..just had a friend get a bit twisted because I did not want to come to her house Sunday to NOT watch the game. Sorry, kid, game day. Staying home.

All the birthday party's in this family take place on a Sunday. So, even if a birthday falls on a Wednesday that year, the party will take place on Sunday. Kinda like this year.

If only someone was offering to give it to him, I bet MS would take it in a heartbeat, QueenBee. Smiley_emoticons_wink

No Superbowl parties on my agenda, Duchess. Just hanging out at home in front of the tv, I think.
I'm waiting on my invitation to Duchess' party.
I hate watching football, especially the super bowl. I hate Americans, they make me sick.
Somebody has to get the 8's 5's and 2's on the superbowl squares Sally you still have a chance.

So, are you hosting a party today or going to one, Duchess?

I'm having a few friends over. There's something going on at the sports bar in town but none of us had much interest in going. I'm dressed down in yoga pants and I don't feel like making the effort being in public would take. It's going to be a lazy day/evening.

Lazy day here too.

I brushed my teeth and threw on a cap. That's as good as it's gonna get today.

Well, except for shades. Gonna throw some on in a minute and walk to the store for alcohol. I might do some buzzed posting during the Superbowl. Still, my posts will be more lucid than aussie's.
Game starts at 10am here. I only have a few buddies that are hardcore enough to make a thing out of the Super Bowl on a Monday morning. It didn't fall on my birthday this year either, so even harder to get people together. I'll be watching on my own and talking to the screen.

Too bad your not geographically closer, crash.

I'm splurging today and munching on popcorn with toasted Parmasan during the game. And, spicy Polish pickles too.

Ah well. Grab yourself some whiskey, plunk down on the couch, and talk to me here if you get tired of talking to yourself.
i still planned a free day and I aade some wings and grabbed a box of Sierra Nevadas, well because...Superbowl
