Her skin is kind of flabby and wrinkled for only 48 don't you think? I think Jamie Lee Curtis looks better.

I was reading about this earlier today. Given how critical society is I'm a little surprised she was cool with that image being posted. I always think those who show their flaws are brave.

I'm not fat but by fashion industry standards I am plus size. I was a fully grown woman before I was comfortable in my own skin and I still have moments where I have fat days. Thankfully they are fewer & far between than at any other point in my life.

They both look pretty good to me. I think very few people naturally look 25 when they're 50, unless they make it a big part of their lives to do so.

I've always liked Jamie Lee Curtis -- "Beauty is truth, truth beauty, that is all Ye need to know on earth, and all Ye need to know."
If Jamie worked out and lost 10 lbs. she'd be looking pretty damn good. If Cindy lost 10 lbs. she could use the skin on her stomach and legs to sew leather patches on a jacket.

Her protective husband posted this to his instagram account.

hah You're cold and might make a good designer for Kanye West's line with your fashion idea.

I like it when products which are being marketed for middle aged people are worn by models who actually look like the average person that age.

We don't all wanna spend our lives trying to look as young and fit as humanly possible. I sure don't. A man or woman who only sees beauty in women with no body fat, no wrinkles, no loose skin and porn-star type private parts isn't gonna find me or most women my age attractive. That man or woman might look incredible, but I wouldn't consider him or her attractive either. Different priorities, but it all balances out.

I think Cindy Crawford will probably sell more lingerie to women if she goes with the natural photo instead of surgically altering her body or Photoshopping the pic. But, maybe not.
In the picture that Duchess posted she looks good and natural. In the photo shoot picture it looks like they used lighting to purposely make her look worse. I've seen plenty of women over 40 that don't have skin that would make Leather Face drool.

I think Smeg's body may have looked better than that awful picture.
It's definitely not the most flattering lighting in that shot.

And, I thought Smegs looked pretty good myself.

But, I don't think if Cindy Crawford and Smegma were standing side by side for any comparative purposes that I'd be thinking, "poor Cindy".

I'm a big JLC fan, but to be fair, the lighting in the picture of her up thread is designed to do the total opposite of what you say here about Cindy. They've set the lighting up to over expose key areas to take the focus away. The JLC image is slightly generally soft-exposed as well, not to mention the potato quality.

Crawford's tummy actually looks quite firm, not paunchy. I don't think her skin looks leathery either. I'd have no problem kissing it from top to bottom..
She should have had that mole removed when she was in her 20's. I don't care what age she is, either that's a crappy shot made to highlight her excess skin OR I'd say, she doesn't HAVE to look like that at any age. Granted, mother nature takes it's toll but you're never too old (IMO) for sit ups and exercises where you don't have to end up carrying a bunch of excess skin baggage around. I don't expect to die with the body of a 20 year old or anything but unless I totally give up between now and death, I have every intention of going out pretty damn fit (for whatever age I am).

Granted, I hate to say it but I can still pick apart this woman's shape but she's 77 year's old. If she can do it...Smiley_emoticons_fies

Now I have to do some lunges/sit ups before bed...bitches.

Go, Granny! She looks fantastic!

Agreed.

I ate a blueberry turnover.

That sounds delicious.

It WAS delicious, so wonderful in fact that I sent the remainder of them up to the barn, I had to get the rest of those puppies out of my home.

I heard this morning that the unedited picture of Cindy that was shown was done without her knowledge, she didn't have anything to do with it. I don't know if someone was being a dick or proving a point or what but it's working for her instead of against her.
I have to say I'm surprised her skin looks like that. I'm no super model and I've had to kids and I don't look like that. And she sells that Meaningful Beauty skin care line. They have a cream for everything.
See it's not just me, her skin really does look bad for only 48.

And if they intentionally did that with bad lighting or whatever then that's no different then re-touching a picture to make it look perfect. They're just making all the fat out of shape women feel good about themselves so they can say "now that's how real women look, I think she looks great". No, that's not how real women look, Old Leather Legs Crawford looks like crap in that picture.

I read that it was a leak too, and the photo is not part of a future campaign. If she's honest in what she's expressed publicly, she can definitely make it work in her favor. I think she looks good, regardless.

She said in an interview for Marie Claire: "I really think at any age it's learning to be comfortable in your own skin. If women would treat themselves with the same kind of love they give to their friends, that would be such a great gift we could give ourselves. What makes you the most attractive is self-confidence. That's what people see."

I think a lot of people see more than confidence and can miss it altogether if they're only focused on physical details, but otherwise I agree with Crawford's sentiment.

Age and genetics have a big impact on physical appearance; that's not debatable. There's natural aging and then there's surgical and cosmetic enhancements, obsessively exercising and depriving oneself of nutrition to try to stay young and thin, etc... I don't have a problem with what other people choose to do. But the most I'll do is watch what I eat (splurging regularly), do a low calorie healthy cleanse a couple of weeks per year when my pants are getting too tight, and walk the steep hills around my house with light hand weights 4 or 5 times a week. I'm not willing to invest more time and focus in attempt to have what some would consider a better body. I'm certainly no Cindy Crawford (and, I like her mole!), but I'm fine with how I look and thankful to be in good health.

I especially like this part of her quote. It's so true!

Confidence is very attractive as well as being sexy.

I think it is too, for both men and women.

P.s. I just read sally's last comment and now I'm laughing out loud. "Old Leather Legs Crawford". 28 Funny asshole.
