I had to leave after the second period; Lillard and Portland were dominating in the first half. I'm glad the Warriors pulled it out in the second half.

I did get to watch the full Heat / Raptors game; it was a good one. Miami ended up winning by 6.

This amazing 3-pointer at the buzzer by Kyle Lowry of the Raptors sent the game into overtime.

What a great fucking shot.
They straight up bulldozed the blazers in the 4th. The turnovers and 4th quarter defense put the exclamation point on this one. Portland can't handle the warriors bench and... Wait for it... Curry is coming back.
I felt bad for the Hawks last night. The Cavs wiped the floor with them in Cleveland. The Cavs ended up winning 123 to 98, after leading by 40 at one point.

Cleveland was sinking 3-pointers left and right and ended up breaking the Warriors' record for most 3-pointers in a single game. The whole team was shooting distance shots, and making most of them:

LeBron James: 4-for-6
Kevin Love: 3-for-4
J.R. Smith: 7-for-13
Kyrie Irving 4-for-5
Iman Shumpert: 1-for-1
Richard Jefferson (?!): 2-for-3
Matthew Dellavedova: 1-for-3
Channing Frye: 1-for-3

The series moves to Atlanta for game 3; hopefully the Hawks can regain their mojo and confidence. Cleveland is up 2 to 0 in the series.

Tonight, is game 2 of the Heat vs. Raptors series. Miami won the first game in overtime. I would like to see Kyle Lowry and the Raptors win this series, though I know there are a lot of people who want to see the Cavs and LeBron take on his old team the Heat in round 3.
So if LeBron takes the Cavs to the finals that's six straight years on two different teams. A feat never achieved by anyone, even Jordan. Question is, does it out James in the discussion for GOAT just to get there? Or does he have to win with Cleveland for that to be a legitimate take?
I think LeBron is one of the greatest of all time, right up there with Michael Jordan, whether he wins a title with Cleveland or not. But, Dr. J is still THE greatest, to me!

Last night's game 2 between the Heat and the Raptors was another great close one. Like game 1, it went into overtime. Unlike game 1, the Raptors won.

The tied series moves to Miami tomorrow. I think it's gonna be difficult for Toronto to win in Miami, but they play hard and never give up, so I think they'll take one of the next two games.
I gotta stop posting from my phone, the autocorrect is ridiculous.
The Hawks really don't seem to be anywhere near able to compete with the Cavaliers.

They lost at home last night. It wasn't as bad as game 2 and the Hawks were leading at the top of the fourth, but the Hawks went on to lose 108 to 121. The Cavs hit 21 3-pointers in last night's game (that's a hell of a lot, but they hit 25 3-pointers in game 2).

The Cavaliers are just awesome, period. They're a great team even without LeBron, just like the Warriors even without Curry. Kyrie, Kevin Love, J.R. Smith... Their new acquisition, Channing Frye, scored 27 points in just about the same number of play minutes off the bench.

The Cavs swept the Pistons in round 1. I'll be shocked if they don't sweep the Hawks in round 2 as well.

Today at 2pm PST the Heat and Raptors play game 3 in Miami. They're tied up 1 - 1. Then, the Warriors play the Trail Blazers in Portland at 5:30 PST; Warriors lead the series 2 - 0.
The Warriors lost by 12 to the Blazers in Portland yesterday. The Blazers' Damien Lillard played a lot like Steph Curry usually plays for the Warriors. Unfortunately, Livingston did not perform so well for the Warriors, though Draymond Green and Klay Thompson racked up points, as usual. The series is 2 -1 in favor of the Warriors.

The Raptors beat the Heat in Miami yesterday by 4 points. This has been a fun series to watch. Though Dwayne Wade scored 38 for the Heat, Kyle Lowry got his groove and scored 33, leading the Raptors to the win. The series is 2 - 1 in favor of the Raptors.

Today the Cavs play the Hawks in Atlanta at 12:30 PST. If the Hawks don't up their game and win this one, Cleveland is going to sweep the series today 4 - 0.

The Spurs are up 2 - 1 over the Thunder. Game 4 in Oklahoma City starts at 5 pm PST today. I've got Kevin Durant and OKC to take this one over Kawhi, Aldridge and Tony Parker (who I never really liked, for some reason). Durant is said to be moving towards free agency with the Spurs looking to acquire him. That would be interesting, but I hope Durant stays with OKC even if the Thunder loses the series.
Your comparison of Lillard being Curry-like is spot on. Deep 3's, great passing, impressive leadership were all on display.

Can they do it again in Game 4?

I think the Blazers will likely win Game 4 in Portland (especially if Steph's still out), but they'll lose game 5 in Oakland and game 6 in Portland.

Lillard kicks ass. I saw him interviewed after the game; he put on a suit and tie. I like him.
Oh man, Cleveland just beat Atlanta by 1 effin' point to sweep the series. I haven't seen a jump ball in the final seconds of a game in a while.

The Cavs' defense stopping Schroeder from sinking a winning bucket or making a winning free throw for the Hawks in the final seconds was amazing. LeBron and company shut Schroeder down on all sides. He ended up on the floor, surrounded, without having been fouled.

So, now Cleveland gets more time to rest up and practice (damn it) while the Heat and Raptors battle it out.
Eastern Conference
The Cavaliers will either take on the Miami Heat or the Toronto Raptors in the eastern conference finals. Miami and Toronto have each won 2 games of the series. They play tonight at 5:00 p.m. PST.

Western Conference
The Thunder beat the Spurs in OKC yesterday; both teams played well but Kevin Durant and OKC were on fire offensively and defensively in the fourth. Durant scored 41 points in the game. The series is now tied 2 to 2 and moves to San Antonio tomorrow night.

The Thunder or the Spurs will compete for the western conference title against either the Warriors or the Trail Blazers. Draymond Green guaranteed the Warriors would win the next game after losing in Portland on Saturday. I'm not so sure; I think the Blazers might tie the series 2 -2 with a win in Portland tonight. The game starts at 7:30 PST.
^ Correction: tonight's game between Miami and Toronto is actually game 4, not game 5. The Raptors lead the series 2 to 1.
i love this...

even though I have to point out that it is inaccurate. We faced the hawks in the semis, not the heat.....lol.

And to be honest I don't know which team we'll be facing in the conference finals, tough call for me to make. In the beginning I figured it would be Toronto, I'm not sure now though.....who do you guys see winning that series? (MIA/TOR)

also, if that image blows your margins feel free to delete this post...I'm too lazy right now to resize it
That image is spot on (and it fits well).

I've got the Raptors beating the Heat in the series, even though I tried to give the Heat a free winning game this morning.

I'm not super confident in my pick though. It's a good match-up.
Eastern:
Well, NOW the Miami vs. Toronto series is tied 2 to 2. Dwayne Wade played great for Miami last night. The Heat won by 7 points in O/T.

Game 5 of the Heat vs. Raptors series moves to Toronto tomorrow night. I think Kyle Lowry and the Raptors can win Game 5, but the Raptors really struggle against the Heat's defense.

Meanwhile...the Cavaliers are resting, sizing up both teams and putting together strategies for either scenario. Bastards.

Western:
Steph Curry returned to play for the Warriors last night. Good thing; Shaun Livingston was ejected from the game early on for the first time in his 11 year career. He's like the mellowest dude on the court, but he argued a call with a ref and out he went.

It was a close game and Curry wasn't hot on the score board until the second half. Harrison Barnes hit a 3-pointer for the Warriors near the end of the fourth which tied the game at 111. That's when Curry really got hot and broke another record -- he scored 17 points in O/T (40 points in all) and the Warriors won the game 132 to 125. Damian Lillard scored 36 points, 10 assists and six rebounds and CJ McCollum added 24 points for the Blazers at home, and it still wasn't enough to stop the Warriors.

The Warriors lead the series 3 - 1 with game 5 going down in Oakland tomorrow night. I think my friends' 5-game series prediction is more likely to become reality than my 6-game series prediction. It's gonna be very hard for the Blazers to win in Oakland when the Warriors are all fired up and Steph is back in action.

If the Warriors eliminate the Trail Blazers, they'll take on either the San Antonio Spurs or the OKC Thunder; both tough teams.

The Spurs / Thunder series has been an exciting one and a lot of fun to watch. The series is tied 2 to 2. Game 5 in San Antonio starts at 5 pm tonight.
Eastern:
The Raptors and Heat are tied up 2 to 2. The Raptors have the home court for game 5 tonight. The series will move back to Miami for Game 6 on Friday night.

Western:
Westbrook and Durant helped the Thunder beat the Spurs in San Antonio last night; OKC is now up 3 - 2 in the series. Game 6 will be in OKC tomorrow.

Tonight, the Trail Blazers will be in Oakland for Game 5 against the Warriors. The Warriors are up 3 to 1. If the Blazers lose, they'll be eliminated and the Warriors will wait to play the winner of the Spurs vs. Thunder series. If the Blazers win, game 6 will go down in Portland on Friday.

Yesterday, Steph Curry was named league MVP with a historic unanimous vote. He won last year as well.
The Warriors beat the Trail Blazers last night; it was a close game. Portland played well, but they're out -- they're a good young team.

So, the Warriors will be watching the Thunder and Spurs (Thunder up 3 -2) fight it out to take them on in the western conference finals, while the Cavaliers wait for the winner of the Raptors vs. Heat series (Raptors up 3 - 2).

The level of post-season play, especially offensively, has been incredible.

The Warriors eliminated Houston tonight with a 30+ lead. Livingston, Klay, Draymond, Iggy, Barnes...all played great. Klay Thompson set another record tonight. He's the first player to hit 7 or more 3-pointers in back to back games. I feel bad for James Harden; he's a great player for the Rockets, but Howard is so inconsistent and there's not a good groove with that team. Harden scored 35 points tonight.

The Clippers lost to the Trail Blazers tonight. Losing both Griffin and Paul to injuries this week majorly sucks. I think the Trail Blazers will probably win the next game and advance to round 2 against the Warriors.
I don't think the blazers have anything for the warriors in post season play.

Spoken like a true novice.

Damian Lillard was hanging with Steph during the regular season.

The Blazers (if they advance) will win at least 2 against a Curry-less Warriors squad.
Looks like the "true novice" pulled one off on the seasoned veteran? hah
Well, BG, without Curry, Golden State had won 2 and lost 1, and were trailing the Blazers 16-2 early in the 1st Quarter of Game 4 when Curry made an unexpected entrance.

The fact of the matter is, we'll never know, but I bet if you polled knowledgeable Dubs fans, the overwhelming majority would say without Curry there's no way they come back to win Game 4 the way it had started.

I stated he'd be practicing and back in the fold in no time MS. They always make a bigger deal out of injuries during the playoffs. Sorry if you missed that little gem that I offered up to the seasoned veteran. I also don't think you can say there's "no way" with any certainty. If you compare the amount of time the blazers led in the series to that of the Warriors you'd see that it's very lopsided in Portland's favor. If it makes you feel any better, I thought the Warriors would drop two games too and stretch it out, but the blazers just weren't able to finish.
