Identify a product or service you wish existed, or a modification to current such things that would make you buy it over current options. Ideally, this is something someone could start a small business around.

Good thread, but a toughie to respond to. I think of shit like this all the time (boy, wouldn't it be cool if they made a such and such), the thing is when put on the spot (like responding to this thread) I've forgotten about what would have been cool to have.

That was my first thought too. I know I've thought of several things before, but remembering what it was is not coming to me.

Next year for Christmas, I'm stuffing one of these handy gizmos into Kid's stocking.


One thing I always wish existed is a safe and efficient technology to charge every electronic device in the house simultaneously, without having to plug them in. Just buy the compatible batteries, plug in the universal battery charger or subscribe to the service, and everything remains constantly juiced (including phones, laptops, remote controls...).

I wish there was more accredited customization of motorcycle helmets. You can buy Predator or Batman helmets from custom designers, but it's really hard to judge the safety qualifications of such "companies" and the price tends to be prohibitively high for products I'm not sure I'd trust.

I think I just had a great one.
