Ok, so in my time of wallowing in the thought of my future demise, I tried to put down in pen something that hopefully goes down in my family tree. I want to make sure this is clear and understandable to future generations of F.U's. Anyway I hope it speaks for itself , but you tell me. Thought, ways to better this, anything ???
Hello family member. If you are reading this and viewing the firearms that go along with this letter , you are privileged to see a special part of your family history. Two generations ago my grandfather, SXXXXX JXXXXX BXXXstarted this tradition of adding to and passing down to the next generation one of our firearms. My father, HXXXXX LXXXX BXXX added to it and passed it to me, JXXXXX JXXX BXXX. My little brother, HXXXXX LXXXX BXXX Jr's shotgun was also added to the group after his passing. My father, HXXXXX Sr has also added a shotgun to this collection for my son, JXXXXX MXXXXXX BXXX.
As each generation adds to and passes down this collection we hope and pray it is enjoyed by the next generation as much as it was by the past generation. Each gun is tagged with the owners name date of birth and date of passing.
My request is that you carry on this tradition and add a firearm of your choosing to this collection, care for them, clean and oil them regularly , enjoy them while you are the caretaker of them and make arrangements so that at the time of your passing they will be passed on to a younger generation so that they can enjoy and care for them as much as we all have. Make sure you also tag the firearm with your information so that future generations will know your contribution and see the family tree of firearms grow.
Please please keep this in our family and do not break this collection up !
