This year had its ups and downs.
Work life was good and interesting.
On a personal level it was tough. My sister lost her partner. I lost a friend, this is the first holiday w/out them and its hard. Actually we lost a cousin also. I spent much of the year trying to be there for my sister as much as I could. The industry she is in lost a lot of people either to illness or suicide.
I can't really do the whole "Look back on the best of 2021" theme that happens this time of year. I never went with thinking one day or one year, or adding a # onto anything meant anything, it doesn't for me.
I think I do recall feeling a glimmer of something at the end of 2020 tho. Like maybe we all thought it would be a little better, different.
I certainly did not expect the year we had. There are some blessings for sure, but man its been a tough year.
I'm thankful for this place to come make my rants or whatever crazy posts I make.
