Have you ever had 'em?

Yes. Fell on some rusty farm equipment and got a nasty gash and cool scar  on my right knee.

Does it look like a lightning bolt?

No, it looks more like a vagina, butthole, or small island.
My son jumped the neighbor's chain link fence to get a soccer ball that was kicked over when he was 5 years old. All the other kids came running around the corner screaming in terror and he wasn't with them. I run over there and he's just standing there behind the fence with the entire back of his calf almost completely ripped off all the way to the bone. I think it was like almost 200 stitches he had to get. His sock got stuck on the fence and he fell backwards and it literally tore his whole calf off. It was fucking traumatizing.
Holy shit Sally, did you drive him?
Ahhhhh I hate that I have a vivid imagination.

Yes, I have had stiches. Many of them.
When I was a kid, (9 or 10) my mom bought me a overcoat that was at least two
sizes too-large, that I’d eventually grow into, so as to save money.
Well one Sunday I had the coat on coming back from going to church.
I was going up 3 steps to get into the house, and my foot got caught in the hem
of the coat and I tripped and fell into the glass storm door and my hand
Smashed through the glass pane. Needless to say I got a deep gash on my wrist.
Well my folks took me to our family doctor, he opened his office just for me.

Now for the “ stitches” part.
No novacane, or any pain killer, the doc used a “straight sowing needle”, not
stitches needle, and he sewed my gash, blood everywhere, the pain was excruciating, my dad held my arm still, and kept saying it will be over soon.
I got 4 stitches, each one felt like a burning poker branding my skin, it seemed like it took forever!
I still remember it so vividly!
I just got five badly done ones 6 weeks ago, many hundred in total.

Yeah, I picked him up and started running with him to my car. He told me if he's not gonna die he's not gonna cry. And he did not cry. It was also weird because there was not much blood, he came about 14 inch from doing major damage and bleeding out the doctor said. The whole calf was flapped over and you could see to the bone.

I stole my big brother's drumsticks when I was a teenager and he grabbed my left arm and shoved the elbow through a window. Doctor said I was an 18 inch from my left arm being paralyzed.
I have been to the emergency ward at least a dozen times.
I had stitches after having a chest tube put in when my lung collapsed and stitches when I had my tubes tied. I've never had stitches from an actual injury though.
The only stiches I had from an injury was when I was camping and I had purchased a brand new knife and thought I should carve an apple while holdling it in my hand, well I missed and hit my arm and had to go get stiches.

The rest of my stiches were from surgeries. When they were installing body parts and stuff and sewing up holes so the bees wouldn't get out.
My arm bone got to see the world.
Oh wait, I had stiches in my knee when I fell hiking after also getting stung by a bee. And they had no numbing agents, so that was fun.
