I was thinking that if was a type of mascot convention, where people wore costumes, and I also thought it was a kids event.

Yesterday, I found out why he refused to go (over 10 years ago- at the time, I thought it was because he wasn't really into sports)

DeSantis passed a law that no one under 18 can go to furry conventions in Florida. His reasoning is that Florida is not trying to raise anymore idiots than we already have.

OH No! Not onlly are the drag queens trying to indoctrinate the children but the furries have been released! Better ban Wizard of Oz! That was one giant furry convention with the Lion and those giant flying monkey guards!

If drag queens can read stories to children in libraries, I think all groups should be able to, including furries, goths, emos, Klansmen, etc., because inclusivity is very important, and discrimination is very, very bad.
I feel certain I read you say that it's up to the parents to determine what's suitable for their children. I can't imagine you'd be too goddamn happy if I came into your home and told you how it should be managed.

What does that have to do with the behavior of library associations, school board associations, education associations, etc.?
I was recognizing your sarcasm for what it was.

I started to transform into a furry when I was 13 or so; at 63, I have been one for nearly 50 years. I should post my "mountain man" picture from last winter. lol
