I just read that when some of these mortgage lenders are prosecuted we, the taxpayer will be footin' the bill for their defense, not only that, we the taxpayer, will be paying for them to be prosecuted...Fuckin' aye !...Where does this make any sense at all ?...Am I missing something here ?
I can understand the prosecution part, but why should we pay for their defense? I thought that was only for the destitute that couldn't afford their own lawyers.
It was all part of that goddamn bailout package...I read it in the AOL news & I don't know how to include the link, sometimes Liquid helps me out with that but, I don't think he is around yet or I would ask for his help {again}.

It is this simple - the government is taking over the fannie may and freddie mac situation and companies. right or wrong, that includes picking up the contracts of the executives of theses lenders and their contracts say that their legal bills (if any) are paid for by the company. that company is now...the us government. I don't have to like it, but I understand it.
