I read this in the AOL news a couple days ago...On Friday {Halloween} a kid went to school dressed as Jesus, he said he did it 'cuz all his friends told him he looked a lot like Jesus with his long hair...Anyway, the school sent his ass home, he was told some of the other kids found his "costume" upsetting...Imagine that.
Religion gets a free pass with many on a lot of things, because it's "religion."

I wasn't looking at it like "religion", I was seeing it simply as a kid in a costume...I wonder if the reaction would have been the same had he been a rabbi or a pimp with all kinds of bling & a backwards hat...I don't know, I really don't take life that serious when I don't have to, it was Halloween for christ's sake.

I do not think the kid should have been sent home, but Duch there is a difference between dressing as a "god" to the majority of the people on the planet and a pimp with bling. The rabbi outfit might have received a similar punishment as the Jesus one did because there is a silly intolerance in our world when it comes to religion. People who believe it is somehow real, will always take it to seriously, kind of like the endless wars in the middle east. Back home on our great land, the same intolerance exists, it just has yet to escalate to thousand year wars.
Also the KKK outfit would have been sent home because it wold have been deemed racially insensitive and offensive to a big percentage of the population. while it would not have been illegal in any way as is the same for the Jesus costume.
