people may scoff, but Sin's nice meeting with Zenith made me think of this. REAL friends made online. some examples for me....

Carla from 24 has been a true and reliable friend for about 5 years. Sin has always been someone i care about a lot. Poopy has also been a dear longtime friend. she remembers my birthday, and i am so unused to anyone giving a shit that it moves me a great deal. Maggot has installed a new furnace in my house, and built me stairs i needed outside because dirtball let this beautiful house fall apart. Maggot has been a brother to me. i hope i didn't forget anyone, i'm tired. will add to the list when i think about it more.

oh, and that turkey Frank has been a friend too, i was his 74^th member at 24. he's only had to ban me a couple times::lmao::. but we stayed friends.

Then I must've been the 75^th member... long time banned.

I've been lucky with online friends, too. Flopstock -who has recently joined at 24 but hasn't said much -came to Bullet's and my wedding reception. She writes to him still, sends him books and a subscription to the newspaper.

M sent me stuff after my motorcycle weck and she's been around a long damn time, too!

Now I've met Z and am glad to have done so. Jackboots has been a pal of mine for about 4 years now, and there is one other member here that I know very well, but I won't give away who it is or what our connection is. For those of you who know, shut the fuck up.

The net is a wonderful place at times. I actually met my girlfriend on the net and have since found out that this is quite a common thing to happen these days. If someone had told me that 12 months ago, I'd have said they were fucking stupid lol.

We plan on getting married eventually, but since she's an American, there are some obstacles that need to be overcome. Like her being allowed permanent entry into the UK.

I guess when people can communicate so easily, it's only natural that good friendships will be formed.

So far I've met a few net friends, and in the main it's been a great experience.

Well me coming to the US would have exactly the same bureaucratic problems, plus my girlfriend really likes England. She came over for two weeks in July and is due to come here again in two weeks time.

Where I live in south east Northumberland is quite good, its semi rural, quiet and safe.

If you want excitement in your life thoughits definately not for you. Unless your idea of excitement is shopping for garden plants or having tea and a scone, if you really want to live dangerously they will sometimes put jam and cream on it for you!

I prefer home & hearth over urban nightlife & I adore the countryside.
