Thanks for all the general concern my fellow mother-fuckers. ::bana::

As it turns out, it was nothing. I did think I was about to go through another bout of passing a kidney stone. This would have been number five that I've endured without medical assistance. It ain't fun let me tell you.

How the hell do you pass them without medical assistance? I have had two and one removed surgically. You could do some serious damage to your innards with those stone.

I guess I've been lucky... I just drink shitloads of bubbly mineral water and they work their way through. What's weird is once they're in your bladder you can feel them fluttering around while taking a pee. They eventually just flush right out. I usually get a severe backache and then it feels like I was kicked by a horse in the kidney area, usually the right one.

I've saved a few of the stones that I could and I'll tell ya, they look like the asteroid in the movie "Armageddon".
You're crazy. How can you stand the pain?

I've never really thought about it... Like I said, it's a big, dull pain that brings on waves of nausea (urpiness) but I usually take a shower as hot as I can with the water hitting the spot around my kidney that hurts. Believe it or not, Doane's Back Pain pills do wonders for it too.

The pain is nothing like an exposed tooth nerve or a burn, of which I've had both.

My ex has passed many. More than 10 in the last year or so alone. One was nearly half an inch (he was told that it was 'medically impossible' for him to pass). I know about kidney stones. I feel for ya. 11

No, it's been most closely compared to the pain of childbirth.
