I remember when we were kids the LNG tanks over in NJ used to blow up on a regular basis.
You could see the flames from my window - clear across the Fresh Kills / Arthur Kill (Staten Island, NY).
The big boom happens at 2:25 in the vid.

This was at a propane supply yard.
The smaller explosions are 20 lb propane cylinders (gas grill tanks) the bigger ones are residential cylinders (100lbs)
