So I have mixed feelings about that. On one hand it's supposed to be for my increased security. I welcome increased securitry. However, on the other hand, it is really an invasion of my privacy. Yes, the people viewing the scanner are in a room off site, with no correlation between scan, face, and name. So for all intensive purposes, it's anonymous.

It's either the body scanner, or opt for a "full body" pat down, so . .

DO YOU OBJECT TO AIRPORT BODY SCANNERS?

For chrissake...it's for "all intents and purposes"

And I don't give a shit if some dimwit sees my nakedness if it makes airline travel more secure. Just make it quick...I have a plane to catch.

You learn something new every day, eh!

I don't care one way or another. I don't think anyone will ever be able to convince me again that it is safe to fly. I'd be more inclined to if we had security like Israel but, we don't and the yahoos are in charge.

You're right, the only real way to be safe, is to fly in a private jet, with yourself or a realitive as the pilot.
To be honest, I would rather go through the scanner than have the full body pat down they would do if I refused.
The "body scanner" can sometimes show too much!

Um, I know what intensive means. 86

Eh you! Read the following link and learn something. Please take note of the bottom portion where it discusses malapropisms as a hallmark for ignorance and lack of education.

What does for all intensive purposes mean?
It's "for all intents AND purposes".

Potato, Pototo!
Unfortunately, this link has now broke the surmised "increased security" benefit of body scanners we are/were led to believe!

Think about all the ugly people in the world and the poor bastards that will now have to see them naked.

Can you say "muffin top":

Potato, Pototo!

Congratulations. You've succeeded in giving me a headache.
It's really going to piss you off if Carsman makes more money than you do.
I heard on the news yesterday about some pilots that won't get the pat-down because they are VERY invasive. One guy was so traumatized, he had to take a sick day and go home......said he couldn't fly the plane because it fucked with his head so bad. Said he was sexually molested. I'll take the scan....unless of course the guy that pats me down is HOT!!
They probably don't let the men pat the women down anyway.

The first sign of HOT patters is when the same person requests going through the pat down 3 or 4 times! Smiley_emoticons_biggrin

We're rather financially comfortable if I do say so myself! Smiley_emoticons_skeptisch
