What do you guys think of Julian Assange? Regarding the furore that is currently surrounding him. Rape allegations etc?

Victim or aggressor?
In all actuality he did not reveal anything that all the diplomats did not already know. Most of what was revealed could have been found in bits and pieces already. He only put it all together with the help of a a gay gilted serviceman that had just lost his boyfriend. He deflated the super-egos of the higher ups and embarassed them.
I hope he does the same to the bankers that were in cahoots with the politicians. It gives everyone a look at what these clowns are really all about. If he lives long enough. Lets see that birth certificate Jullian! hah
I think its ridiculous that our government secrets are so easily accessible. Heads should roll over that. But I think he needs to be shut down and I totally support whatever needs to happen to accomplish that.
What about rape allegations? part of a smear campaign or legitimate?

What do you mean "totally support" shutting him down? You don't mean death penalty?

Lots of other countries have had leaks but its only the US that wants to extradite, I don't understand that.

The rape allegations might be part of a smear campaign. I don't know. I think those accusations are coming out of Sweden (I think?) so no comment. They might be manufactured or not...I don't know.

On the other hand, he's leaked very vital U.S. information. I generally believe in "free speech" but not if it involves leaking classified government information and putting the U.S. at risk. What the hell...? He listed places that we think are vital to U.S. security.. And he threatens to release more...? He's a domestic terrorist. I'm not advocating killing him but I hope the attorney general finds a way to prosecute him and put him away for a very, very long time.
I really think he thinks he is making the world a better place by whistleblowing. I don't know if it is right or not?

I would like to know what happened to JFK and stuff like that that we have been lied to about over the years.

I watched this documentary recently on JFK, there was NO commentry, just footage, alot of it amateur some from newsreels, and when they get in the car and start driving you know what is going to happen you just hope it dosent. It showed Lee Harvey Oswalds arrest getting booked and getting shot. Amazing stuff.

I just don't think we got the truth about what happened with that most horrible event. I think that the powers that be knew what had happened and it was a cover up. I might be wrong. But there was something fishy about it. I wonder if having a whistleblower like this on the scene makes these kind of events more under threat.

I mean, what if we find out Princess Di was not in an accident? That would be great to know the truth about that.
I don't think there will be Princess Di intel released. I won't make fun because I loved her, too.

What the guy is releasing is military and diplomatic correspondence that could get members of our military killed.

I hope we use range justice to get rid of him.
after much reading i believe 100% that Diana died as a victim of a drunk driver--her driver. period. and dodie fayed's father is a raving nutjob. he lost his son, he can't accept that. i certainly sympathize.
but all the conspiracy theories out there about Diana's untimely death rank right up there with cow abductions. and my English friends agree.
there is no way in hell that anyone could have arranged that accident and be assured that she would die. there are better and more guaranteed ways to kill someone. especially in a rarefied international scheme at the highest levels.
Assange looks like a deviot. He has that look about him that when you shook his hand it would be all cold and clammy. He looks the type to spike a drink.

Did you guys see his mother in the press? What kind of drug fucked hippy hanger on is she?

Is this her?

Do you think she would look like Susan Sarandon if she wore makeup?

Nope. But she'd look a lot like a two dollar crack whore with slightly more gaunt cheeks and a few scabs on her face.

You have to hear her talk to get the full picture.... too many hits of the bong and one too many acid trips for that little flowerchild
I have good friends from UK who say the same, that it was an accident. The one thing that I thought was unusual, was she was kept by paramedics for 2 hours instead of going directly to the hospital. She was bleeding internally, by the time they got her to the hospital it was too late. I just found that strange. Didn't add up. It cost her her life.Signs_173

what? i have NEVER seen that particular myth, and i've read all the reports, official and otherwise. they took her right to hospital after they tried first-responder efforts on the scene. i think that's a lot of bullshit from conspiracy theorists. but if you have a link i'd like to read it.
Here tis LC on wiki, but I saw it on a documentary.

WIKI:The first police patrol officers arrived at the scene at 12.30. Diana was removed from the car at 1:00 a.m. She then went into cardiac arrest. Following external cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Diana’s heart started beating again. She was moved to the SAMU ambulance at 1:18 a.m. The ambulance departed the crash scene at 1:41 a.m. and arrived at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital at 2:06 a.m

where do you get 2 hours? "kept by paramedics for 2 hours". kept? kept where?
a docu? by who? some asshole with a camera? anyone can make a docu. don't be naive.
and my sarcasm is not aimed at you Aussie, but i would rely upon wiki right after i relied upon a purple dinosaur coloring book for accurate information on any topic.
sadly, she was simply another drunk-driver victim/fatality.

i'm NOT sniping at you Aussie. i'm sniping at conspiracy nutters.

Thank you for the photo. It all so sad. No matter what happened, it dosent bring her back. The reason I originally said 2 hours, is because I watched a documentary on it, it was saying about the fiat and that there was a 2 hour wait. The doc was raising questions such as why it took so long to reach the hospital etc.
There are far too many government secrets now days. Any government that can't operate without a reams of secrets is in business for itself more than its citizens. People have a right to know most of what's going on and the government has a duty to protect the secrets necessary to its function.

I'm not convinced that this wasn't so much a real leak as dissemination of false information.

This guy thinks he's making the world a better place and I'm coming to believe he's right.

yea verily!

Someone must do what the 'journalists' of the world refuse to do, either by choice or as underlings of their corporate masters.

Boycott the fucking U.S. news agencies and network news programing.

Get thee to 'Free Speech TV' for the real stories.

I don't have a problem with whistleblowers, I think they are a good thing. Frankly, I don't trust anyone who is in charge, why would I, because they tell me to? 78

Take my word for it, nobody cares about you.

They haven't even tried to report the news in thisa country since before 1963. They bought off all the media to not mention Oswald had worked in the TBD for six months before the assination and that the route had been changed by "high up in the FBI" at the last moment to take it right by. Two FBI agents were even stopped by police leaving the "grassy knoll" area by the back way and carrying cases.

Hoover liked to dress in women's clothes buit even more he liked being number one in government for decades. JFK didn't understand the role of first man so put Hoover under him. Hoover might have actually enjoyed being down there with Monroe et al but took it very poorly when JFK put RFK over him as well since he as nobody's bitch. Hoover also wasn't impressed by JFK's talk of ending the Vietnam war as soon as it was politically advantageous for him (right before the election).

Oswald was the only American to ever defect to Russia. He was married to the daughter of a Russian "FBI" agent.

This was all transparent and widely known even before Ruby was engaged to bump off the evidence but the media simply never reported the coup.

Cronkite knew so much they even let him start twisting the news every night to paint the government in a bad light.

The last forty five years has even gone down hill from there.

The russkies used to say there was no truth in Tass (truth) and no news in Pravda (news). We have no truth and no news in the papers and on TV.
