(CBS/WUSA) LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. - Investigators in Virginia are looking for Bethany Anne Decker, a pregnant 21-year-old who police say has been missing for more than a month.
Decker was reported missing on Feb. 19, but was last seen on Jan. 29.
Investigators say her family reported her missing after numerous failed attempts to reach her, according to CBS affiliate WUSA.
Her car was found parked in a garage at her Ashburn, Va. apartment, but without signs or clues as to Decker's whereabouts. She's a senior at Virginia's George Mason University.
Investigators say just before she went missing, she had gone on a vacation to Hawaii with her husband, an Army soldier who was back in the states on leave from Afghanistan.
Shortly after the Hawaii vacation her husband, Emile Decker, re-deployed to Afghanistan.
According to Loudoun County Sheriff's Captain Ken Pratt, Emile Decker returned to Afghanistan "just a little after" his wife was last heard from, reports WUSA.
Loudoun sheriff's officials aren't treating this as suspicious, but they are leaving every possibility open.
"Everything is under investigation obviously. We have a missing person, and we've got to look at everything," Pratt told WUSA. "Our main thing is we want to locate Bethany."

I saw this on CNN's website this morning. Likely husband is involved, all too common anymore. The book Armywives details several wives murders by their military husbands. As a military spouse,myself, my heart aches for this woman & her unborn child.
people who claim to know her said she has a boyfriend. it will all come out if true.
it's being confirmed by mainstream media that she did have a boyfriend. no name yet, but reports are that he is giving conflicting statements.
and her parents withheld this information, at least initially. made it sound like it was normal for her to be out of touch for weeks even though they have her little son. i knew that didn't ring true.

Loudoun County Sheriff's deputies on Tuesday searched the home of the last person to see Bethany Anne Decker, 21, a pregnant Ashburn woman missing for over a month, according to authorities.
The Loudoun Sheriff's Office declined to detail the outcome of the search of the Centreville home where the man, described in court papers as Decker's current boyfriend, lives with his mother.
The search warrant affidavit indicated that investigators were looking for evidence that might help locate Decker. The results of the search were not available Friday afternoon at the Fairfax County Courthouse.
The Centreville man, the father of Decker's unborn child, saw Decker on Jan. 29, the papers say. He moved out of Decker's Ashburn apartment in February, police said, and made conflicting reports to police about when he first noticed Decker's car parked outside her apartment, according to the affidavit.

An attorney for Decker's family declined comment Friday. "The Nelsons and the Bayleses are cooperating with the police fully," said Peter Burns. "The best way to help Bethany is to help the police."

I recently saw Nancy Grace address the issue of the husband being in Afghanistan & she was utterly outraged that he didn't return from there immediately upon hearing his wife was missing & she found him guilty because of that. There were a couple people trying to explain to her that the military doesn't work that way & she told them to shut up or they would have their mics turned off.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the disappearance of a Mason student who was last heard from Jan. 29. After several weeks of not hearing from her, the senior Global and Environmental Change major was reported missing by her family on Feb. 19.
Bethany Anne Decker, 21, was last seen by a friend at her Ashburn apartment at the end of January, according to police, who also found Decker’s car at the apartment complex. Police said there were no signs in Decker’s apartment that she had planned to leave. There has also not been any activity on Decker’s Facebook page, credit cards or cell phone, according to investigators.
A Mason spokesman told NBC Washington that Decker was registered for spring 2011 classes and had paid tuition, but did not show up for spring semester classes. Mason Student Government also confirmed to C2M that Decker served as Undersecretary for Sustainability during the 2008-09 academic year.
A Facebook group created to raise awareness of Decker’s disappearance had attracted more than 1,200 members by Wednesday night, but the group’s administrators sent a message late Wednesday saying the page is being shut down.
“Pray for and Support Bethany Decker/Littlejohn and Her Family is being shut down,” the message said. “Sorry, everyone, but I have gotten multiple messages about this event causing harm to the investigation.”
The message went on to say, “All we can do now is pray and wait.”
Decker’s brother, Kyle Littlejohn, told C2M by e-mail Wednesday that his sister “was a very loving character.”
“She was always up beat, energetic and there for anyone that needed help,” Littlejohn said. “She loved George Mason and was very in to the environment. She always strived for perfection and was one of the friendliest and kindest people I know.”

Authorities last week searched the home of a Centreville man identified as the last person to see missing mother Bethany Anne Decker before she disappeared at the end of January. The results were revealed this morning.
Despite the search and previously not revealing that Decker had a boyfriend, investigators continue to stress that no suspects have been identified, nor has evidence of a crime been found.
"There are no suspects because we don't necessarily have a particular crime we are dealing with," said Investigator Vince DiBenedetto, a spokesman for the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Everyone involved is considered a witness at this point, not a suspect, he said. He also said the boyfriend, Ronald Roldan, is cooperating with authorities.
Shannon Codere, the Loudoun County investigator who submitted the affidavit for the warrant, cited several reasons for searching the home.
"[Roldan] made conflicting statements regarding when he noticed her car being parked in the parking lot in front of their shared apartment. Decker went to Hawaii with her estranged husband just days prior to her disappearance. Roldan is described as controlling and abusive by Decker to her family and friends prior to her disappearance," the warrant reads.
Although the warrant cites two possible felonies – first- and second-degree murder – as justification for the search, the Sheriff's Office stressed Tuesday afternoon that police do not know yet whether this is ultimately a missing persons case or something else. DiBenedetto declined to say if authorities had developed any new leads after searching the home.

Roldan moved in with his mother on Saint Germain Drive in Centreville in February, according to the warrant. Loudoun County investigators confiscated two Blackberry cell phones, three other phones, a Mac notebook computer, an external unified video decoder (UVD), photos, two ticket stubs and a receipt from a Sunoco gas station, results of a search warrant filed in Fairfax County Circuit Court reveals. While the warrant was filed last week, the court clerk stamped the findings March 8.
Investigators also seized immigration papers, a black bag with assorted papers, two contact cases, three keys and a remote control device, along with Giant and Harris Teeter cards.

Authorities are naming Bethany A. Decker's husband and boyfriend as "people of interest" in the investigation into the pregnant Army wife's disappearance.
Decker, a 21-year-old student at George Mason University, was last seen Jan. 29. Her husband, 21-year-old Emile Decker, left for Afghanistan with his Army National Guard unit on Feb. 2. Investigators have questioned both Decker — who has returned from Afghanistan — and Decker's boyfriend, 30-year-old Ronald Roldan, said Vincent DiBenedetto, spokesman for the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
He said neither man is considered a suspect at this point.
"A person of interest is someone we wanted to talk to, it's a person who had some information," he said.
Officials have also searched Bethany Decker's apartment and wooded areas nearby. No signs of foul play have been uncovered.
Decker is about five to six months pregnant, and authorities had previously identified Roldan as the baby's father. But DiBenedetto said Thursday that Emile Decker was home from Afghanistan at the beginning of October, when Bethany would have become pregnant, and investigators don't know who the father is.

WASHINGTON - Investigators are taking seriously the possibility that a missing pregnant woman from Ashburn is alive and hiding, sources tell WTOP.
Bethany Decker disappeared in late January. WTOP has learned investigators found Decker's purse in her apartment when she was reported missing, and they are considering the possibility she is hiding and with someone else despite no activity on her cell phone or credit cards.
Decker's husband, Emile Decker, was serving in the U.S. Army in Afghanistan and was thought to be the last person to see her. Investigators have since said Decker's boyfriend, Ronald Roldan, was living with her and is believed to be the last person to see her before she went missing.
Emile Decker remains home from Afghanistan and is cooperating with authorities.
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office has named Roldan a person of interest in the disappearance, and believe he is the father of Decker's unborn child. According to investigators, Bethany Decker had described her boyfriend's demeanor to family and friends as "controlling and abusive."
Roldan has a lawyer and is no longer answering questions in the case.

Today marks the 22nd birthday of Bethany Anne Decker, the pregnant Ashburn woman who has been missing since late January, and there is little to report in the investigation into her disappearance, and the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office continues to search for clues that might investigators to her.

For the past three and half months, investigators have worked to determine the whereabouts of Bethany Anne Decker, a 21-year-old Ashburn mother and George Mason University student who has a second child on the way.
Hope remains that the young woman will one day call her young son or her mother and say she’s alright, but such hopes fades with each passing day. She was about five months pregnant when she disappeared, meaning she should have just about reached full term by now. Neither the cell phone known to be hers nor any of her credit cards have been used since she was last seen Jan. 29.
Investigators have not released specific details about Decker’s cell phone or credit cards, such as where and when they were last used prior to or on Jan. 29. However, they have released a timeline that places Decker in Columbia, Md., on Jan. 29 with family members, including her grandmother and her husband, Emile Decker. Decker’s mother, Kimberly Nelson, said she communicated with the gathering by speakerphone.
“That was the last time I had spoken with her,” Nelson said during a press conference in early March.
Later in the evening on Jan. 29, Decker returned to her apartment in Ashburn, where her boyfriend, Ronald Roldan, told investigators he saw her. Capt. Kenneth A. Pratt, an investigator with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, described the last time she was seen as “arriving home and going to her apartment.”

ASHBURN, Va. -- On the weekend that Bethany Decker was due to give birth, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is providing new details and pictures of the woman who's been missing since January, and her family is holding out hope she's alive.
"It's as if she dematerialized one day," family spokesman Peter Byrnes tells WTOP.
Investigators released a photo of a unique tattoo Decker has on her left leg just above her ankle.
Detectives are questioning Decker's friends and coworkers at Carrabba's Italian Grill in Centreville.
Sources tell WTOP Carrabba's is where Decker met her boyfriend, Ronald Roldan. Investigators searched Roldan's mother's home, with a search warrant.
According to a written statement, investigators want to speak with "anyone who knew Bethany, or has information regarding anyone she was involved in a relationship with."
Decker had described her boyfriend's demeanor to family and friends as "controlling and abusive," according to investigators in court documents.
In initial meetings with reporters, Decker's family and investigators did not acknowledge she was dating Roldan, despite being married to Emile Decker, who was serving in Afghanistan.
Byrnes says Decker's family was aware she was dating. It's unclear who fathered Decker's child.
"I know that they were not delighted with it," Byrnes says.
"If Bethany is out there and hearing this, all you need to do is call your family or the Loudoun County Sheriff's Department and say, 'Hi, it's Bethany, and I'm OK.' She doesn't even have to tell us where she is. We just want to know that she's fine."
Investigators and family members say there has been no indication of foul play, activity on her bank accounts, cell phones or email, so they continue to believe she may be alive.
