I REALLY disliked Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and this looks like more of the same except with clowns.

He's got some genius movies, then he's got crap like Planet of the Apes.

And that was truly bizarre... I believe Svankmejer was going for the effect of a nightmare quality, and at that, he succeeded.
